Lali Shop London Boutique Experience With FarFetch

uk fashion blogger, london fashion blogger, liverpool fashion blogger, farfetch blogger review, lali shop london, farfetch london boutique,
FarFetch is an online Fashion, Beauty & Kidswear website that stocks products from 400 independent boutiques around the globe. Each boutique is distinctive in it's own way, allowing FarFetch as a marketplace to bring you everything from emerging or niche designers, to big-name brands & luxe labels. It's a place to shop for pieces you won't find anywhere else online, making it  a one-of-a-kind way to shop. When shopping with FarFetch each item is handpicked from the boutique & sent straight to your door, or alternatively you are able to Click & Collect at a boutique located nearby.

I had the opportunity to visit one of the boutiques, Lali Shop, in South West London & share my experience with you all on my blog. Lali Shop is run by designer and aesthete Nelli Turner, a lady who I found to be very inspiring to talk with. Nelli has captured her own personal style & reflected this in her boutique, creating a unique space for her customers. As soon as my Sister & I stepped inside the store we fell in love with everything about it. It's very different from a typical luxury fashion boutique, with a Bauhaus vibe it is not only a shop but an eclectic art gallery too.

Nelli was kind enough to introduce me to the designers she has carefully selected to stock in her shop, such as Peter Jensen, Bella Freud, Maria Black & Ancient Greek Sandals. I absolutely love the simplicity yet chic style of the Ancient Greek Sandals, I especially loved the Leopard print pair. Each label sold in Lali is very in keeping with the boutiques style, unique, experimental & exciting.

I was able to try out some of the new Season pieces, which was a real treat for me having never worn anything luxury before. My favourite item was the Peter Jensen dress pictured below, it's so different from anything that I would usually wear but I was happy to have stepped out of my comfort zone & tried something different for once.

May Primark Haul

may 2015 primark haul, blogger primark haul, primark pineapple necklace, primark pug socks
primark tassel bucket bag, uk fashion blogger, primark haul may 2015,
primark pug unicorn pyjamas, primark pug pjs, primark may 2015 haul,

As I mentioned in my previous post I had a spree at Primark I thought I'd post some photos of my haul. All of the stuff shown was from the Manchester store & I'm pretty sure it's all reasonably new stock so if you like anything hopefully you'll be able to pick it up from your local store!

First up we spotted the jewellery stands & straight away I noticed the Pineapple chain necklace, it was only £4 so I couldn't resist it. I think it will look cute with a plain top, it's the perfect Summer accessory anyway & even if I never do wear it, at least I can use it as a blog photo prop! I also picked up the trio of necklaces, I really liked the rose quartz one & I'm sure I'll end up wearing the other two sometime. Continuing on the accessory theme, I got myself a new bag! I'm loving the tassel trend at the mo, but with a little Pug around it's not the most practical trend for me to sport, fringed kimonos are a serious no no as I can absolutely guarantee Tilly would be swinging from it! I thought the bucket style bag was a semi-safe option, as I'll mostly be using it out of the house when Tilly isn't with me hopefully I won't end up with half-eaten tassels!

After having a browse we headed upstairs to the PJ section, you can't beat a new pair of pyjamas! I got my hands on the Rugrats short & crop top combo, gutted that someone muddled up the sizes though so I've ended up with a pair of shorts way too big for me! The second pair I bought were pink pj bottoms with a Pugicorn print & keeping with the Pug theme I got some new socks too. Finally we made our way over to the Home section, where I spotted glass jar candles in lots of Summery fragrances. I went for Appletini but I wanna go back & get the Watermelon scent too now. They're only £3, I'm usually a bit of a candle snob & stick to Yankees but I'm actually really impressed with these! I also picked up a chevron print throw which I stupidly packed in a box before I photographed this haul so unfortunately you'll just have to wait & see that when we move into our new house. I really wanted to pick up some of the Pineapple print bedding too, but I didn't feel like carrying that around Manchester all evening so hopefully I can get it in my local store.

What is your favourite item from my haul?

i went shopping...

This purple & blue floral blouse caught my eye straight away, I spotted it hanging on one of the rails & instantly had loads of outfit ideas running through my head! I've been after some nice tops for ages, I feel like all I wear is stripey breton tops or plain jumpers & whilst there is nothing wrong with either of those I just needed something a bit prettier to wear! I can't wait to wear it with my Levi denim shorts for a casual Summer look but I also want to pair it with my pleater A-Line skirt for a more 'sophisticated' style - I don't do sophisticated but I have an outfit idea in my head which looks good so I hope it looks okay in reality too, haha!
Even though above I have literally just written that I seem to always wear jumpers, I ended up buying another! I've developed an obsessed with white clothing, (probably not a good idea when I have a dog but nevermind!), & this was in the sale for only £12. I tried it on in the fitting room & really liked the slouchy fit to it & it actually looked good with the floral shorts pictured below, although I'm sure I'd probably get a few funny looks for sporting a jumper & shorts combo!

How pretty are these floaty floral shorts! At first I thought omg cute but they will look awful on me, however I still tried them on & I'm so glad I did! After reading llymlrs style post I felt inspired to try something on that I wouldn't normally bother with in fear of it making me look silly.
All from Primark
Lets just take a moment to appreciate my bargain baby pink bag... £8! I'd seen a similar one in River Island for over £30 so when I spotted this little one in Primark I didn't even give it a second thought & I'm seriously regretting not picking up the mint coloured one now!
Somehow I've been on a bit of a shopping spree over the past few weeks, not sure what happened as it's pretty rare for me to splurge on quite a few things all at once! Considering I'm on a saving mission too it's not very good, but oh well I needed some pretty clothes to add to my Summer wardrobe. I managed to find some cute accessories in Primark too, it can be quite hit & miss in my opinion but I could have gone crazy on all the floral crowns, pastel handbags & doggy related items!

lush treats

Now I work full time 9-6 every day I am so so tired & literally have no time to myself, so when I got off the train at Waterloo & spotted the Lush store I headed straight there to pick up a few treats! All I knew was I wanted some pretty looking, sweet smelling bath bombs to be able to relax in a hot bubbly bath in the evenings after a long day. Also I felt it was completely necessary to buy some bath treats as I've moved to a flat where I finally feel comfortable actually having a bath... living in a mouse-infested/messy/smelly student house I just couldn't bring myself to sit in the grim looking bath, no matter how much bleach or cleaning products I used there was just no way!

I chose Tisty Tosty, Butterball & Creamy Candy. I told the sales assistant I was after a vanilla scented bath bomb so she directed me to Butterball which is filled with cocoa butter too, perfect to protect my skin. Tisty Tosty was recommended to me by the sales assistant, I'm not usually a fan of floral scented products but this isn't too overpowering & the super cute heart shape filled with little rosebuds won me over anyway! Finally creamy candy bubble bar is a Lush item I've wanted to try for so long but because I'm not a bath person I've never got round to it! The scent is quite similar to Snow Fairy my all time favourite shower gel (still got a mini backup of this!) but a little more vanilla-ry, an added bonus! Now I've got to decide which one to use first... Has anyone tried any of these bath treats!?

I'm off to go finish making the roast dinner for Dom & I, then it is time for Tilly's evening walk & bath! Hope you are all having a lovely Sunday evening!

little things i've bought recently

Nivea Express Hydration Primer Dry/Sensitive (£4.99) - I'd seen this product featured on YouTube adverts quite a lot and I don't really use a primer so thought I'd try this as it's a combination of both a moisturiser and primer!

Bourjois Magic Nail Polish Remover (£4.99) - This nail polish remover has been featured a huge amount in the beauty blogging world over the past few months and I'd been dying to see what the fuss was about. As it was included in Boots 3 for 2 I was persuaded to buy it & I'm kinda glad I did! I'll put a full review up soon.

L'Oreal Top Coat 'Confetti' (£4.99) - After seeing the Illamasqua speckled nail polish I really wanted to recreate a similar effect but without the ridiculous price tag. This was under five pounds & I can have speckled nails in any colour I wish! I haven't stopped wearing this over the top of various pretty pastel shades since I bought it!

Real Techniques Setting Brush (£8.99) - Another RT brush to add to my collection, justified by the excuse "I need a brush to apply my MAC mineralize skin finish with!" I'm probably also going to use this to powder my face but it's the perfect size to highlight with.

Maybelline Falsies Mascara (7.99) - I don't tend to try many different mascaras, I just stick to what is cheap, usually Rimmel, because my eyelashes don't need much help with volume or length really. I'm not actually sure why I bought this in the end but I'm sure it'll be great, I know Tanya Burr swears by it anyway!

L'Oreal Superliner Perfect Slim 'Black Intense' (£6.99) - The L'Oreal Superliners are my favourite liquid eye liners, they're easy peasy to use, really black rather than that annoying 'faded' black shade and they don't flake.

Topshop Lip Liner 'Deception' (£5.00 or £4.50 with student discount!) - My all time favourite lipstick is Topshops Beguiled and Deception is very similar in colour. It will be perfect to help it last even longer, especially for nights out.

Rimmel Scandal Eyes Shadow Stick '008 Blackmail' (£5.99) - I hadn't really heard about these shadow sticks before until I spotted them in the Rimmel counter. I was going to pick another colour but fear that it wouldn't suit me got the better of me & I stuck to trusty black. I've actually been using this more like a kohl eyeliner, it's super super pigmented but also really soft & creamy meaning application is gentle. I really like the idea of these, I might pick up the bronzey coloured one next!

River Island Gold Heart Thumb Ring (£2) - I had this on a wishlist post a while ago, it's the tiniest, cutest ring ever, I love it!

Have you tried any of these products!? Let me know in the comments! (:

brick lane haul

Levi Shorts - £18 | Baby blue jumper - £18 | Tartan blazer - £24

On Saturday Dom & I popped to Brick Lane as I wanted to have a little look in some of the shops. Whenever I go with my friends or sister they always end up finding some beautiful gems & I decided it was about time I stopped being lazy & actually had a proper root through to see what was hiding away! I went into a few shops along the way, whilst heading for Beyond Retro. At first I was ridiculously disappointed with Beyond Retro, but I am so so glad I gave it a second chance & had another look. When I laid my eyes on the tartan blazer I knew it had to be mine, I've wanted one for so long but missed out on the River Island one. I tried it on straight away & although it's a little big on the arms it's my favourite thing ever! I know it's probably not to everyones taste, but it looks much better in real life & I think it'll be so handy for spring/summer when it's warmer & there is no need for a proper coat (thats if we get a decent summer this year!). Dom then suggested looking at the 50% off rail, which I thought would be full of rubbish but he picked out the cute baby blue jumper for me & as it was only £10 I couldn't leave it behind! My aim of visiting Brick Lane was to buy some new denim shorts as my old ones have shrunk & too much bum cheek is visible... Beyond Retro didn't have much choice so I headed to Blitz which is another huge vintage store & I was lucky enough to find the Levi 501's in not only the colour I've been after but also my size! I was told I'd struggle to find smaller sizes on Brick Lane as they sell fast! Blitz seem to always have 10% off if you present a flyer to them when purchasing & you're pretty much guaranteed to be given one whilst walking down Brick Lane! I thought £18 was a really good price for Levi high waisted shorts as I paid £30 for a pair of the Topshop version a few years ago & on eBay they often sell for alot more.

Have you ever been to Brick Lane before? What are your favourite vintage finds!?

Firstly, I need to apologise for being MIA for around a month now, but for also having two 'Instagram' style posts in a row. I didn't want to return to blogging without a little update though!

So, where have I been!? The last time I posted was the day I moved back to London to begin my second year of university, but even before that I was posting quite irregularly... Since moving back to London I have been alot busier than I planned to be, plus we only had the internet installed on Tuesday night. In a nutshell I have done the following: worked as a student ambassador/been getting to know my new housemates, especially with nail painting sessions in the kitchen!/had an interview/Dom came to visit/various nights out... including Fabric!/travelled back up North/helped my little sister move to London/completed uni work & assessments/& of course I've been shopping!

I'm currently back up North again because I had to return for a friends 21st last night (they also got engaged, cutest thing ever! I can't believe I'm at the age now where my friends are getting engaged, having babies etc!), I also went shopping with my Dad yesterday & I surprised Abi by visiting her at work! Today I've been to visit my Nana & Grandad & little brother, Harry :) had a lovely Sunday lunch! It might not seem like I've been that busy, but for some reason when I'm in London the time actually whizzes by! I got to see Dom last night for the first time in eight days, which of course I was super super super excited about & I'm really enjoying being back home. London is amazing, but it can be a really difficult place to live in, so I'm thankful to have a bit of a breather this weekend.

Hope this post is okay as a little refresher, I have tonnes of stuff to blog about so my blog should gain some normality again over the next few weeks!

Dom & I are currently in Leeds, we came back on Friday as we had a little flat warming party & then headed out in to Leeds. I had such a fab night with the some of the best people & the following day we all went back into the city to eat at Red Hot Buffet which is pretty good! Now I'm just chilling out, catching up on blog posts, drinking cups of tea & eagerly waiting for the closing ceremony to begin at 9pm! Still love the spice girls after all these years haha!

Hope you're all having a good weekend!

leopard studs

Leopard Shirt - £6.55 | eBay | Zara
Studded Shirt - £13.76 | eBay | Zara

Over the past couple of weeks I've been ridiculous and spent an actual fortune on eBay, I can't help myself though because there are so many bargains to be found! I came across these two shirts, but couldn't decide if I should risk buying them as they were from China and I am impatient when waiting for parcels to be delivered. I went ahead anyway and to my surprise they arrived within 10 days!

I was nervous to buy these shirts because they are listed as one size, and I am quite small so I didn't want them to drown me, luckily they both fit nicely, a little oversized but thats okay :) They are both dupes of very popular Zara shirts, the leopard one even has a Zara label attached to it! Overall  I am amazed with the quality of these two shirts, especially for the price of them! The price of the studded shirt has increased slightly since I bought it, but the original one from Zara cost almost £60 before the sale. I can't wait to take some photos of me wearing them.

Have you ever bought anything from overseas on eBay, if so did you have a good experience? Do you like buying dupes of popular items or would you prefer to buy the real thing?

recent buys!

Recently I have been going a crazy and spending a fortune, I wanted to update my wardrobe a little as I feel like I always wear the same old outfits! I've also bought quite a lot of new products to try out, so some of these feature in this post too! Above are a few of my purchases, sorry I've used photographs from the internet rather than my own images, my camera is currently charging so I'm hoping to feature a few of these things in outfit posts/full reviews!

Topshop petite dark wash denim shirt - I finally found the perfect denim shirt! I can't even remember how long I've been searching for a shirt like this, so when I saw it in Manchester yesterday I ran over and grabbed it. I think everyone needs a denim shirt in their wardrobe, they're a great staple item and can be worn in so many different ways. This cost £32, but I got student discount.

Topshop basic crop tee - I LOVE these! I'm so glad I got hold of one, even though it's been raining and quite chilly in England recently I'm hoping it warms up so I can wear it with my other recent purchase DISCO PANTS! I bought those when American Apparel emailed their subscribers a 30% discount code. I feel like my life is complete now they are in my life (saddo)! (£8)

Soap & Glory flake away body scrub - I've heard good things about this exfoliating scrub so I thought I'd give it a whirl! I did only buy it in the travel size just in case I didn't like it, plus I adore mini products, but I absolutely love this stuff. The smell is amazing, and it's not rough on my skin either which is great. My skin feels lovely after using this. I will definitely be repurchasing the full size! (£2.50)

Essie mint candy apple nail polish - Okay so I really did jump on the bandwagon with this product, but I couldn't resist the colour sorry! I think it applies quite nicely, and if you use a topcoat it will last ages. I recently painted my nails with this colour as a base and then did leopard print accent nails, see my instagram (loulabeth) for a picture! (7.99)

Spike earrings - I found these via Victorias blog vipxo, as she does an eBay post each week, which I love to read! The earrings arrived super quick, considering they were from Hong Kong and they are a good size, not too big or too small! also, they are ridiculously cheap which is another bonus! (£1.39)

Hope you're all having a lovely sunday afternoon, I'm about to go and tuck into a roast dinner, mm!
