Little Tilly pug has been quite poorly this week & has been clinging to me like a baby, sometimes I forget she's a dog!

This week has been one of those strange ones, where one day you feel insanely happy & the next you revert to your old emo kid self. Lets not dwell on the sad stuff too much though, I'm all about trying to promote positive mental attitude even through the tough times! One highlight of my week was attending my first ever blogger event in Manchester on Wednesday. I was invited to go along to Hale Country Day Spa for a day of relaxation, pampering & getting an exclusive look at South Beach's newest collection! I'm going to do a full type up of the day really soon, but one thing I will say to any of you bloggers out there who are umming & ahhing over going to a blogger event, is to just go for it! I'm no good with meeting new people, my shyness overcomes me in the most severe amount & my anxiety drains my confidence but I decided to power through those feelings & face my fear. And I'm so glad I did! I also got to see some of my family for the first time in ages, literally it's been at least a year & it was the best, I don't think I've ever laughed so much! It really made me realise how fab my family are & that I definitely need to spend more time with them (:

I feel like my life is insanely boring atm, with not much to report on my Instagram has been quite neglected. I've actually had one of those weeks where I've been reminiscing a lot (hence why I have so many old London photos uploaded this week!) & found myself scrolling through tagged photos on Facebook & thinking about how different my life was a few years ago! I've been house sitting for my Nana & Grandad since Wednesday as they've gone away on holiday so I've been taking advantage of having a house to myself (Tilly's here too tho!) & just enjoying the peace. Honestly I've become such a granny in the last year or so, I can't stand noises or being around loads of people so it's nice to have some me time - lots of early nights! I think the whole "liking peaceful situations" has stemmed from the fact Dom & I had our own flat together for over a year & moving back into our family homes has been a bit of a shock to the system... going from the two of us plus Tilly pug to living with 5 other people is a bit of a nightmare! Hopefully it won't be for much longer anyway, getting our own place again is a huge priority of ours & I can't wait to have my own space again! I feel like my blog is suffering a bit at the moment too as I'm struggling to get any photos taken, but things should settle down soon & I've actually set myself the challenge of blogging everyday in September... lets see if I can keep to it! I've gone off on a bit of a ramble here, oops, hope you've all had a lovely week/weekend (:

This week has been quite a boring one, I've been in work every day so I've not had much of a life! My days have followed this pattern - "eat sleep work repeat", such an exciting life for a 22 year old! I'm actually off to work in a mo but I wanted to log on & say a quick hello, I really love blogging & it's nice to take some time out to type up a little post. I've actually managed to blog more than I expected recently, I've been focusing on staying busy & it's really given me the motivation to get up & do things rather than being lazy & wasting my time. It's not easy working full time, trying to blog, looking after Tilly & trying to spend time with Dom - it's a struggle fitting it all in but I've not felt this happy in a long time. I just don't have the chance to think about negative things anymore & it's such a  Isn't weird how changing one small aspect of the way you look at life can make you feel a million times better!?

my week in photos #21

Ooops, a bit of a food heavy post this week! I've mostly spent my time at work but my day off on Friday consisted a trip to the Seaside with Dom's parents & Tilly pug followed by a yummy pub lunch. Moving back up North to be closer to our family has definitely been the best decision ever, it's so lovely being able to go out for the day & spend time with the people who mean the most. Don't get me wrong, I loved living down South & having our independence but it did get lonely sometimes & we often missed out on family events or friends birthday celebrations because of the distance between us all! 
One downside to this week was poor little Tilly pug had to be treated for an eye ulcer on Tuesday. Anyone that knows the Pug breed will know that eye ulcers are a huge worry & their eye sight can quickly deteriorate if they're left untreated. Luckily I got her to the Vets straight away & it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. On Friday we took her back to be reassessed to be told the ulcer had gone which was a massive relief for me. Tilly pug is always super spoilt & acts like a huge diva all the time but this week she was even more spoilt with lots of treats & plenty of snuggles. She's back to her usual hyper self though now, which I'm so pleased about, it broke my heart seeing her in pain, she's actually like our baby!!

my week in photos #20

I completely forgot I had these shoes until last week & I've been obsessed with wearing them ever since! 

Dom's Mum has a lovely cottage-y style garden which is filled with rose bushes & pretty flowers. One evening last week she took advantage of it being so warm in the evening & did a bit of gardening. She kindly gave me some cuttings of the wild flowers which I arranged in my little floral jug vase, they look so pretty!

I tied my silk style scarf around Tilly & couldn't resist taking a photo of her. That squishy face is just the cutest!

With the stress of moving & living between two houses it's amazing how fresh bed sheets, lots of cosy cushions & some fairy lights can make your room feel homely again, it helps me feel relaxed.

With it being so warm I've been wearing my glittery jelly shoes whilst Tilly has been refusing to walk - lazy puggy!

One of the best things about Summer is having an ice lolly to cool down, fabs being my favourite! Fabs are fab!

My little sister made Tilly a loom band necklace, which I think looks adorable!

This pretty purple polish has hardly left my nails, I love everything about it. I've actually dedicated a whole blog post to it here!

Best thing ever when Tesco reduced all their cupcakes, I couldn't leave the Oreo ones behind!

This little girl makes me laugh so much with her funny expressions & poses! I was trying to take a selfie with her which was a massive fail but managed to get this one haha I love how she's resting her paw on my arm!

Tilly & Cloud the Husky go on an evening walk together through the countryside. It's one of my favourite bits of the day, it's so nice to walk over to the fields near Dom's house & let them run off their leads they have so much fun! I also run with the husky & instead of him sprinting off & leaving me behind he runs alongside me as if he's keeping me company, he's so cute!

Proud of these fairycakes I baked for Dom to take to work with him on his last day! The cake sponge baked perfectly for once & I managed to ice them pretty neatly too, Dom said they didn't even last 5 minutes everyone demolished them so quickly! 

Another food photo (sorry not sorry!) but I had the best breakfast the other morning so of course it had to be Instagrammed! Granola with Strawberries, Nutella bagels & fresh Orange juice, not the healthiest of choices but absolutely delicious!

How cute is this Bambi Tshirt!? I absolutely love it! 

Tilly waiting for Dom to come out of the Estate Agents. Yesterday we handed back the keys to our very first flat, I got a little sad as the next few months are going to be difficult not living together as a family whilst we save up to buy rather than rent. I couldn't resist taking this quick photo of Tilly patiently waiting for her Daddy to come back outside though, she's so cute & would occasionally bark almost as though she was reminding him that she was still there!

This week has been a complete whirlwind to say the least, I've been to London, met FleurDeForce, baked 30 cupcakes at 1 in the morning, packed up our little flat & moved all the way back up North after living down South for the past 3 years. I'm finally tucked up in bed after a really long & stressful day (my beautiful mirror got smashed, a little teapot got broken & my books got covered in pink food dye - joys of moving!!) of unpacking & organising so I'm going to have an early night reading blog posts! I can't believe it's been over 2 weeks since I last blogged! I've been dying to blog every day but with working, having a little pug to look after, travelling to see our families up north & keeping the flat tidy/organised I'm always out of time! I haven't even turned my laptop on recently. I always admire people who manage to blog every day without fail, especially those that have very hectic schedules, I just don't know how you do it! I really love blogging & have missed sitting at my laptop typing away these past few weeks! I think I've finally got a little bit more structure to my life now so I'm hoping I can blog more regularly, it's something I really enjoy doing in the evenings after a long day at work, I can completely zone out of all my worries & stresses & focus on my little blog! As a little "return to blogging" I thought I'd share my favourite photos from the past couple of weeks, I love to document my life as much as possible so that I have something to look back on in years to come!

As I've not been very thorough with my blogging over the past few months I thought I would pick a few of my favourite Instagram snaps and compile this post as a little update as I have a little Instagram series on my blog anyway! I like to document the little things in life, as they're easily forgotten about & I know I will be so glad I've done this in years to come when I decide I want to reminisce.

Today has been such an exciting day as Dom found out he has got a job for when he graduates, meaning he will be moving ALOT closer to London!! This will make my life so so SO much easier, as long distance relationships are pretty horrible & travelling time will be reduced from over 4 hours on a coach to around 1 hour on a train! I'm so proud of him he's done incredibly well throughout his degree & finally his hard work has paid off (: we celebrated by going out for lunch & having a little walk around London whilst the sun was out.

I'm still in revision mode really, my first exam is only 10 days away & I'm so so unprepared right now. I'm going to try blog every few days though when I need a break from my studies... however I'm basically the queen of procrastination, honestly I'd be achieving a first if I studied procrastination haha! Anywaaaaay hope you all have a lovely weekend (:

The week approaching is probably going to be absolute hell for me, either an exam or coursework deadline every single day! Friday 14th December cannot come quicker, Christmas properly begins for me then, I'll be able to finish off my shopping, wrap presents, watch as many Christmas films as I wish, bake loads of festive goodies, visit Winter Wonderland at Hyde Park & travel back up north to be with my family & friends for Christmas, New Year & My 21st! 

Also, how cuuute is the little puppy my dad found? They live in Turkey now & found this sweet little pup abandoned on the streets (how could anyone be so cruel!?) so they took her to the vets & they were told treatment was free as they had found her. She is just 5 weeks old, they named her Cara & she is a labrador spaniel cross they think! I wish I could give her a cuddle, seriously the cutest, most adorable doggy I've ever seen (:

This week has honestly been crazy, I've been so so busy, overwhelmed with uni work & various other things! My photos seem to have a slight Christmassy theme, London is so festive I've loved visiting different areas this week & seeing all the decorations! Dom & two of our friends came to London this weekend & I also went to the Crystal Castles gig in Brixton last night, Alice Glass you are crazy!! Probably the best gig of my life though, even if I did have to be lifted out the crowd by security after the first song, clearly not my 15 year old self anymore who could handle insane crowds! 

Sorry for the Instagram posts being so close to each other this week, time is not my friend at the moment & they're so quick to compile. I should get a spare few minutes this week to try & organise myself as I actually have loads to blog about! (:

Today I am currently cramming my life into bags, ready for my journey back to London to start my second year of university! I am quite busy during the next couple of days, helping out as a student ambassador & also attending an event, career based! I'm planning to blog in the evenings though, I have tonnes of posts lined up, it's just having the time to sit & photograph stuff then type it all up! I've been crazy busy this Summer, doing absolutely nothing in particular, lets hope I can get blogging properly soon as I honestly enjoy it so much! A massive thank you to all who follow my blog and take the time to comment, I appreciate each and every one of you, it means a great deal to me! Reaching over 200 followers in a few months has shocked me really, I never believe that anything I publish is worthy of reading, so seeing that little number rising up slowly but surely really reassures me that somebody out there does like what they see!! :) I know follower count isn't everything though I think it is a lovely little extra that comes along with blogging. 

Finally, would you all be interested in me doing a blog post about my new MacBook? I'm undecided so let me know!
