#BloggingProblems

It's a frustrating feeling when something you enjoy becomes a chore & in all honestly, thats how I have been feeling about blogging lately. I feel frustrated at myself for neglecting my blog, ignoring my emails & leaving PR samples sitting in their boxes for weeks but it all kind of just happened & here I am over a month since my last post was published. I hate that I can't commit to blogging when I want, I put myself under pressure & then end up burning myself out. With a job, living in a house that we are renovating, having two needy little Pugs to look after & other life things my blog just took a back seat unfortunately. When I get home in an evening all I can think about doing is curling up on the sofa under a pile of blankets with the Pugs. I don't want to go on & on in a negative tone about the blogging part of my life so I've decided I will just blog when I can & stop beating myself up about not sticking to a schedule like I had originally planned. Life isn't hard, I just like a good whinge when things don't work out how I expected them to!

I had quite a few fun blogging things last month, I got to attend the I Just Love It event where I made my own personalised pizza & took home a goodie bag full of personalised items. I also got invited along to the Tangle Teezer Puppy Party for the launch of their new Pug Love Tangle Teezer. That was one of my favourite days & I was lucky enough to meet Becca Rose & hang out with her handsome Rupert Pug. It's always the best when I can take the Pugs with me & even better when we get to meet other Pugs too! I'll pop up posts to share all the photos I took at the events next week! :)

Another fun thing that happened... we bought a new car! After having old, unreliable cars for years we were finally brave enough to go out & buy ourselves a brand new Mini Cooper last week. I am so so excited, we've always wanted one & can't believe it's finally happening!! Hurry up & deliver our car please Mr Mini!

I've got a beauty post going up tomorrow, yay for being organised, so look out for that! It's been good to sit & type, I feel a lot more relaxed now that I've got a post completed!

Hope you're all having a good week, let me know whats been your best bit!

January Goals

Okay, so it's not quite the first week in January anymore but today really got me thinking about what I want to achieve by the end of the month. I'm one of those people who is really good at completely overwhelming themselves with too much to do but I'm learning that it's just silly to write endless to-do lists. Instead I want to focus on a couple of things each month to help me to get to where I want to be with my life/the house/my job. I'm hoping this technique is going to help calm my anxiety right down too because I've been having a bad time with it recently. Feeling overwhelmed & flustered is not nice but by giving myself a chance to step back & figure out what's what I already feel much better.

Life Goals
- Book a Dentist appointment. This might sound like a really realistic thing to have on a to-do list & it is but I'm always putting it off & pretending their are other important things I should do first. Around 4 years ago I had a consultation to begin Invisalign, however the clinic messed up & ended up having to refund me so I never achieved the teeth I've always wanted. Now getting braces seems like the blogger/YouTuber thing to do I've actually been really hesitant to find a new Orthodontist to begin my teeth transformation. I realise this is stupid & I just need to get on with it because I am desperate to have teeth I am happy with so I've promised myself I will get to the dentist this month & get the ball rolling again!

House Goals
- Declutter the bedroom. Our bedroom isn't the worst room in the house for junk but I really want to clear out things I've been hoarding for years on end so by starting with a room that isn't too bad will hopefully give me the motivation to tackle our spare bedroom which is currently a hell hole!

- Buy some art work for the living & dining room. These two rooms are pretty much complete apart from needing the odd piece of furniture & accessories. The rooms are both white with wooden floors which makes them look a bit blank at the moment, so I need to inject some life into the rooms.

Blog Goals
- My main blogging goal is to post as regularly as possibly, hopefully twice a week but maybe more if I get the chance!

- Everyone always says numbers aren't everything & they definitely aren't but I would like to hit 2500 Bloglovin' followers if possible, I'm about 60 away so hopefully thats not too hard to reach.

Career Goals
- Within the past 6 months I've found an area of work that I am really enjoying. I never thought I would find a job I would like, so now I just need to keep saying yes to all the opportunities that come up to keep building my experience.

Do you have any goals you are hoping to achieve?

Hello 2016

Oops, long time no blog! What happened to #blogmas? My full time job, thats what happened. It's a constant frustration of mine as obviously I have to work to buy the pugs everything they need (& more!)& y'know pay the bills etc, but I'm forever wishing for extra hours in the day to do what makes me happy. Anyway now the new year is here I feel like a review of 2015 needs to be done before I can begin with any other blog posts, it's always nice to have something to look back over.

Without a doubt 2015 was the best year of my life, so far! We finally bought our very own house in May, a goal that had been ours for about 2 years, but these things take time & a whooooole lotta patience, however it paid off in the end & was so worth all the stressing & saving. It's the best feeling knowing this entire house is all ours, I'm having so much fun learning to DIY things, decide on decor & generally just enjoying our place to live. It's such a huge achievement, that I'll be content if we don't achieve anything for the next few years haha, but we will still push on & try reach those goals! I'd always had it in my head that I'd like to get on the property ladder before I was 25 & we smashed that target at managing to climb the ladder at just 23. I can't help but be super proud of us!

Another huge highlight was rescuing beautiful little Lulu Pug in August. Pretty much from day one of bringing Tilly Pug home we always knew we would love to have another in our lives one day. I always imagined us getting another puppy though but when we found Lulu we knew we had to save her. Little Lu as she is commonly referred to is such a precious pug & brings us so much happiness. It's the greatest feeling knowing we are giving her the life she has always deserved & there is nothing sweeter than seeing my two babies snuggling up to each other on the sofa.

I had big hopes to travel more in 2015 but we ended up spending more on a house so there wasn't many pennies left in the pot to book a proper holiday. I did however manage to travel a little bit within the UK, we finally visited Brighton with our friends & the pugs for a weekend which was the best and I also went to London a couple of times to see my Sister. I'm so so close to booking a weekend break to Berlin, I'm just trying to hunt down some cheap flights & I hope to visit another European city too if I get the chance!

I have a really good feeling about 2016, I had the same feeling about 2015 which worked out to be pretty awesome so hopefully 2016 ends up being just as great.

Lazy Monday Mornings...

After 13 consecutive days at work I am so so glad to be sat in my big squishy bed with my two little puga's! I have been completely rushed off my feet as well as dealing with some really horrible bouts of anxiety, I'm exhausted & run down so today is all about a bit of rest & relaxation! One thing I absolutely love to do when I'm having some chill time is to open my MacBook, log into Blogger & type away. I find it really therapeutic & it's so enjoyable, especially when I see the end result & receive lovely comments to read. I've been looking through my Instagram photos so thought it would be nice to re-cap on everything thats been going on recently, like I've said before in previous posts I love to document my life so that one day I can look back on it, which is why I should really get into vlogging! It also made me realise I haven't shared any photos from our trip to Brighton, I'll be sure to do that asap but be prepared for pug spam!

Theres a little Autumnal theme running through my photos, which makes me so happy. I know everyone seems to be banging on about how much they love this time of year, but I really do! Everything is so cosy, with lots of candles lit & fairy lights on, blankets to wrap up in on the sofa whilst drinking a big mug of hot chocolate, what's not to love? All the leaves are starting to fall now too, littering the ground with the most colourful display & creating that satisfying crunch when you step on them, it makes dog walking all the more fun! I couldn't resist snapping a photo of Lulu & my feet standing amongst the pretty array of Autumnal leaves & I'm sure there will be many more of those to come. Apart from appreciating Autumn, I've been busy at work turning the into a festive dream. All of the Christmas decorations are out now & I've built Christmas trees, arranged table displays & basically been like a little elf spreading Christmas cheer throughout the store! I am SO excited!! Only 11 Mondays left before the big day itself...

How was your weekend?

Mojito Mocktails

mojito-mocktails, virgin-mojito, mojito-mocktail-recipe,
Whilst we've all been melting thanks to the #UKHeatwave I have had a serious craving for icy, refreshing drinks so to curb that feeling I mixed up a Mojito Mocktail! It's super simple & takes a couple of minutes to prepare, so anyone can have a go! I had a glass chilling in the fridge for Dom when he got home from work & I'll be sure to serve this when we get round to having our housewarming too!
mojito-mocktails, virgin-mojito, mojito-mocktail-recipe,
(Please excuse the state of the walls, we are in the middle of decorating!)
Ingredients
1/2 cup of Mint Leaves
Juice of half a Lemon
3 tbsps Sugar
Ice Cubes
Lemonade

Method
First things first, prepare a sugar syrup. To do this simply pour 1/2 cup of water into a pan, followed by 3 tablespoons of Sugar and heat on a low flame. The Sugar will dissolve after a couple of minutes, once dissolved allow to simmer for about 30 seconds before leaving the syrup to cool to room temperature.

Next up, grab some serving glasses, I chose Mason Jars because, well why not! Add in 7-8 Mint Leaves, followed by 1 tablespoon of Sugar Syrup & around 1 tablespoon of Lemon Juice. I literally just squeezed lemon juice onto a spoon over my glass, meaning I was pretty generous with it but you can add as much or as little as you want really!

Then comes the fun part, get a muddler or you could use the end of a wooden rolling pin & crush the mint leaves. This helps to release the true flavours & helps give the drink that refreshing tang!

Add in a couple of ice cubes & then top up your glass with Lemonade, I used Sprite because I prefer the taste but whatever lemonade is fine! Or you can use soda water if you like.

Finally, pop in a straw, decorate with a slice of lemon & mint leaves if you want & enjoy your Virgin Mojito!

This recipe makes about 6 glasses, it's easy to switch up if you require more or less.

Sunday Summary

Bit of an Instagram style post today but I promise I'll be back with my usual beauty ones this week! I really wanted to share my photos from Instagram this week because I've been obsessed with taking snaps of my house, especially because the lighting is so nice in every room (thanks to the huge windows!) so minimal editing is required! I've mostly been cleaning & organising, my life has been overtaken by housework & I am actually loving it, being in our own space & putting our stamp on the place is so exciting. We've also been on the hunt for a sofa & blinds & I *think* we are ready to place the order, we are pretty in love with the furniture we've chosen so no doubt I'll be spamming you all with photos soon! Tilly Pug seems to be in her absolute element too, she loves trotting around each room finding the perfect patch of sunshine to snooze in & really enjoys barking at the birdies who fly over her courtyard. She is also forever peeping her little squishy face through the spindles on the bannister & I couldn't resist grabbing my iPhone for a photograph! We've had quite a few visitors the past week too which has been lovely, it's so much fun showing everyone around each room & talking through our decor plans. I managed to arrange all our new home cards too, plus I am loving the fact I get bought flowers, our friends Matt & Jen gave us a beautiful bunch of Peonies which are my fave! Tilly has also had visitors, George the French Bulldog, Bailey the Sprollie & Cloud the Husky, she's a popular Pug! I've definitely turned into one of those people who is completely devoted to their home & extremely proud of their space, it was so worth the wait! Most of our money & time is now spent on the house, but I did take a trip to Boots after work & decided to grab the newest release from St Tropez, the in shower gradual tan. I've never really used fake tan but I'm intrigued by this & I've read a few positive reviews so hopefully it will give my pale irish skin a bit of a glow!

Hope you've all had a lovely weekend!

An Exciting Life Update

We finally got the keys to our beautiful home almost two weeks ago but it's been non-stop ever since & due to a lack of Internet my blog has been left very unloved recently! I've got two days off now so I'm taking advantage of my free time & getting back into blogging - one of my favourite things to do! I'm using my iPhone as a hotspot because I couldn't wait any longer to login to blogger & get a post written up, we should have proper Internet soon though.

The house itself is situated in Liverpool which meant a big move for Dom, Tilly & myself but a very exciting move nonetheless! I've been craving city life ever since I left London two years ago & we've managed to get the best of both worlds with two beautiful parks nearby yet we are only about 10 minutes away from the city centre. We need to do a bit of work on the house, get some damp fixed, redecorate most of the rooms & generally make it our own so it's going to take time but we have already made a good start! Our bedroom will be the first room to be completed, it's all decorated now we just need to decide on a few more pieces of furniture & get some curtains hung up! We are currently sleeping in the back bedroom with a bedsheet acting as a curtain, but we have the comfiest bed ever so we are good for now! (little bit of advice, if you're gonna splurge on one thing make sure it's a mattress - you spend about half your life on it so it's a worthwhile investment!) It's such an exciting time for us, even buying 'boring grown up things' like a washing machine & fridge was fun, I think I'm officially old!! We have so much more to buy though, I'm currently having a dilemma over which sofa to go for, I'm scared I'll be stuck with a sofa that I'll end up hating & it's such an expensive mistake to make... send over any sofa shopping tips before I have a breakdown over swatches & styles!

We are already so so so happy in our new home, it feels good to finally have our own space again after waiting almost a year & I'm excited to document our home & share updates with you all as we make progress!

p.s I share some sneak peaks of our new home on Instagram if you want to take a look - @loulabeth & there will be loads more to come over the weekend! (:

Burgers, Blogger Events & Being Busy

As you may or may not know I set myself a little target of blogging Everyday in May, which I have done pretty well with so far but a mishap occurred Yesterday which resulted in me missing a day. I felt really guilty for not posting, I had let myself down but sometimes something just has to give & unfortunately my blog was neglected. My Saturday started off with an early wake up to go & meet our financial advisor 45 minutes away from where we live, not ideal when you have work later on but it was an important mortgage meeting to finalise everything so had to be done. On our way there I had a phone call from work asking me to come in earlier, so after the meeting we zoomed over to a Booths to grab coffee & breakfast which meant that when I arrived home I could run through the door, get changed & hurry over to work. After I had finished work at 6.30pm, Dom & I took Tilly for a long walk through the countryside, I was tired & if I'm being honest wasn't in the mood for going out but little Tilly Pug loves her walks & there was no way I could refuse! We had been out for about an hour when I decided we should take the short cut home, bad move... we got charged at by a herd of cows! I scooped Tilly up in my arms & ran as fast as I could, with the Cows galloping towards us... I'm laughing now but I was in such a panic imagining myself being squashed to the ground. After that ordeal I was completely drained & I ended up ringing Doms Dad to see if he would come pick us up, which luckily he did! When we got home I crashed on the sofa & was asleep in a matter of moments, with my poor blog not even being logged into! I woke up this morning feeling really annoyed at myself for not being more organised, but off I went to work again today & realised that there is no need to beat myself up over a blog post not being published. I love blogging & thats what matters, so as long as I'm publishing content I'm proud of then I'm not going to worry about missing a day here & there.

Apart from my usual working week & the drama of Yesterday I managed to have some fun still! I attended a Body Shop Blogger Event in Manchester with Abi, we stopped off at Byron Burger first - my fave, did a spot of shopping in Primark, then went over to the store about 8pm for the event. I'll be doing a full post in the next couple of days though so I'll save the details for then! When I say 'spot' of shopping in Primark, I actually mean a spree & ended up walking out with a huge bag full, Primark Haul post anyone!? (:

Hope you've all had a lovely weekend!

Bloggers I Love

It's been a while since I've shared some of my fave current reads & I feel like I've been reading more blogs than ever recently. Nothing beats seeing my BlogLovin' feed full of new posts from my favourite bloggers, I really look forward to getting home in the evening to catch up on the latest posts. I've become obsessed with blogging & the blogging community again, I kinda drifted away for a bit & didn't feel like I belonged here but now I'm focusing on the fun side of blogging - taking photographs, meeting up with other bloggers & I feel a million times better about my blog. I really love discovering new blogs, through blogger chats on Twitter or Instagram... or even in my workplace! I met both Abi & Stephanie at work & it's the best being able to chat all things blogger related to people who "get it"... most people I know still have no idea what a blog is! Anyway, onto my most-loved bloggers at the moment... enjoy! (:

Sunday Summary

This week has been pretty non-stop with work, I genuinely feel like I live there at the mo but hey ho it's always worth it on pay day! I also made the decision to blog everyday in May & even though I'm a busy bee I'm actually feeling pretty organised & I'm super happy with my blog & the content I'm producing. I've been blogging on & off for 3 years & have hated my blog for the majority of that time because I'd be comparing it to others but I finally feel really positive about my little space on the Internet & it's such a great feeling!

I've done a few early shifts this week which means earlier finishes so I've been able to enjoy the afternoon/early evening sunshine on the days that the weather has been nice. Even though everyone & their dog seems to be Instagram-ming blossom trees right now, outside of Dom's parents house is the most beautiful blossom tree, so I couldn't resist snapping a photo of it! I also bought not one but two pairs of Topshop sunglasses because firstly I loved them but they also suit my face shape & I struggle to get sunnies that look decent on me! This week the feeling spend hashtag has never been so appropriate, as well as the two pairs of sunglasses I had a big splurge on Summer clothes at Topshop & River Island plus I've stocked up on even more home things. An Oliver Bonas order happened & so did a h&m one too, whoops! I can't wait to be able to share photos of everything I've been buying for our place when we move in & get unpacked.

Hope you've all had a lovely Bank Holiday weekend!

Happy Easter

After eating too much Chocolate over the past few days I'm currently sitting in bed enjoying a lazy morning with Tilly Pug & Dom sleeping next to me. It's not often we have lazy mornings anymore with alarms going off at 6am, it was nice to wake up naturally for the first time in what feels like forever! I wanted to share the above photo on my blog because I just love it, it's so colourful with the mini eggs, little fluffy chicks & the Daffodils making a sneaky appearance in the corner. I took this little Easter display of chocolate nests round to Doms Aunties for us all to enjoy after our feast at her house. Even though I've had to work some of the Bank Holiday it's been so nice having Dom at home for 4 days, I think 4 day weekends should be a regular occurrence, who's with me!? (:

Hope you all had a lovely Easter Weekend!

Sunday: Poptarts Anonymous?

Sundays are a day of rest right? Unfortunately not for me *insert stressed looking emoji face*, today has been all about coursework, coursework & MORE coursework. I needed a break, so logged onto blogger to de-stress for a short while before it's back to my uni to-do list. Anyone else have lists of lists? Anyway, even typing about uni makes me want to curl up in a ball under my duvet cover & pretend it doesn't exist so lets change the subject!
The day started off pretty well with a breakfast of Cookie Dough flavoured Poptarts, they are definitely my favourite so far & I've tried a lot! Dom actually found them in Tesco, I love Tesco, even more so since they started stocking American food. We used to splurge on overpriced Poptarts in Selfridges until we realised Tesco stocked them, but they only used to sell the Strawberry & Chocolate ones. I also love the Confetti Cupcake & Smores ones, seriously I could live of Poptarts & never get fed up of them, I think I need to go to Poptarts Anonymous haha..
I also got my blog redesigned this week, I'm still gonna tweak it by adding some colour & a few other features but bare with me as I probably won't get round to doing that until next year, because y'know... I just never seem to get round to editing my blog very often. I really want to get a header designed, I want it to include Tilly pug but not sure what else. I love minimal themes but then I also really love the more creative ones with little graphics that relate to your hobbies/interests, in my case pugs, poptarts & did I mention pugs? (lol) But yeah if anyone can recommend a graphic designer to me that would be cool (:

turning twenty three

I shouldn't really be writing this post as I have an exam to prepare for & coursework to complete, but in the midst of the stress & worry I decided to give myself a 30 minute break to relax & refresh. On Saturday I celebrated my 23rd Birthday so I thought I'd share some details from the weekend! It was a pretty quiet one, spent with my family but thats just how I like it, I'm basically a granny & I'm okay with that haha. On Friday I went for tea & cake, (well actually nutella hot chocolate in my case) with my Mum, Nana & little Sister Leah at a vintage tearoom in town. Instead of taking lots of photos I ended up just enjoying the moment & chatting with my family instead of arranging my vanilla cupcake neatly on the plate to ensure it was Instagram worthy. On the actual day of my Birthday Dom brought me Breakfast in bed, a feast of Waffles coated in Nutella & Strawberries with a big mug of Coffee. We then ventured out to the Trafford Centre for a bit of shopping & to finally try out Five Guys, which has now become my new favourite place to eat! Obsessed with the drinks machines... they literally had every flavour of fizzy drink you can imagine, Peach flavoured Fanta being the best in my opinion! To end my Birthday day Dom surprised me with a Coffee cake he had stayed up late to bake the previous night. It was genuinely the best Coffee & Walnut cake I've ever tasted, much better than any shop bought ones, which is quite surprising considering Dom hardly ever bakes... hidden talent I think! On Sunday Dom & I took the dogs out for a walk through the countryside, we completely underestimated how cold & muddy it was so as soon as we got home the fire was put on & hot chocolates were served! I'm heading to London at the end of the month for a belated Birthday catchup/celebration with my other Sister, can't wait to be back in the old smoke & have a little explore!

I kinda like doing these diary style posts every now & again, it's nice to have memories documented so I can read over them whenever I feel like reminiscing. What do you think?

5 things for 2015

In a couple of days we will see the start of a brand New Year & whilst I'm not one of those people to post a Facebook status claiming I'll be joining the gym etc etc I do think it's nice to focus on what you want the year ahead to bring.

Move into our own place (again!) - After moving back to the North for better job opportunities & to live close to our families we decided to move into our parents home for a few (few being the keyword here haha) months until we found a home that was perfect for us. Six months later we are still living at home, not the most ideal situation after having our own place & independence for 3 years, but we are determined to get a home we love. I'd hate to know how many hours of my life I've spent scrolling through Rightmove during this whole process though!

Carrying on blogging - I have an up/down relationship with my blog, I mostly love it until I compare it to others. That feeling of publishing a post after snapping away photos & stringing sentences together is a good one & thats what I need to remember.

Travel more - Believe it or not, I didn't even leave the country once in 2014. I had plans to but then other things seemed to crop up & ideas always got pushed back, so I'm determined to make 2015 a year that I see more of the World. I'm one of those people that forever wishes rather than does & that really needs to change. A City I'd love to return to is Paris, but it would also be a dream to visit New York... I'm not sure that will happen during 2015 but one day!

Use my creativity - I'm actually a really creative person however after years of studying Art & Design I've become lazy. I love crafting, making little gifts for people, baking sweet treats, that kinda thing but It's weird because I have all these ideas in my head & pinned on boards on Pinterest that make me feel excited yet I never get round to making time for them. Which leads me onto my next "thing" for 2015...
Do more of what makes me happy - Throughout 2014 I saw so many tweets quoting "Do more of what makes you happy" & I'd often think about "happiness" whilst being stuck at work & suddenly feel very panicked & trapped. Obviously I have to work because theres bills to pay & a pug to spoil but what I want to focus on during 2015 is taking time to switch off from those negative thoughts & have a bit more of a positive outlook on life. I have lots of happiness in my life & I just need to keep those happy things to the front of my mind instead of always letting the bad things pull me down. In 2014 I started to take note of the "little things" that go unnoticed so often, it's easy to get caught up in life so it's good to take a step back & see the light sometimes.

I have a really good feeling about 2015 & can't wait to see what the future holds!

pug life #9

These two were like each others shadows the whole weekend, it was the cutest thing ever & definitely convinced us that we need to get Tilly a little sister! Ellie has now welcomed baby Darcie Pug into her life, we can't wait to meet her soon hopefully (:
"Stay away from my toy Tilly!!"
"No, I not sharing it Tilly!"
Grumpy pug after playing chase all morning with Ellie!
 & then they both crashed...
 But not for long!
Then it was time to go see all our other pug friends at the meet up...
But Tilly realised she had overdone it & sat at the side observing for most of it!
 Look at that grumpy face...
The next day was the Pug-O-Ween party, Ellie has got to be the cutest skeleton ever!
Look at her adorable baby face awww
I never realised how hard it was to get a photograph of two Pugs together until that weekend, haha!
We managed to get some good ones eventually though!
 Power nap before the party!
Super squishy face!
All of us in the dog friendly pub (:

A few weekends ago Dom, Tilly & myself headed down South for the weekend to visit our friends & attend a Pug meet up & Pug-O-Ween party! We used to live down in Milton Keynes, it's only recently we have moved back to be closer to our family & Dom landed himself a pretty good job but since moving back we really missed all our pug friends so a pug filled weekend happened! We stayed with Dan, Jemma & their beautiful little Pug Ellie for the weekend & it was honestly the nicest weekend, we had so much fun & even got to take the Pugs to a Dog friendly restaurant before setting off on the 4 hour journey back up North! I know lots of you enjoy my Tilly Pug posts so I couldn't resist sharing a few photos from the weekend, hope you like!

Also, Tilly appeared on YouTube click here to see her in one of Dan's vlogs (:

sunday

Suddenly feeling really Christmassy after seeing/smelling the Festive Scented Yankee Candles!
Enjoying a Toffee Nut Latte that was almost as big as my face in Costa!
Being organised & "sofa shopping" - so hard to choose!

Sundays are a day for relaxing before a busy week at work for most people, but with my job being in retail it's very rare that I'm actually at home. Today was one of those weekends were I was lucky enough to have the whole day off, so I took advantage & had a little day out with Dom! Firstly we had breakfast in bed, which isn't always the easiest with a greedy pug around but she kept quiet when we treated her to a few little pieces of bacon! Then we headed into town to pick up a few things, but mostly I wanted to see all the Lush Christmas stuff in store. Possibly did a bit of damage to my bank balance in there.. oops... haul anyone!? We also went on a hunt for a Halloween costume for Tilly as she has a party to go to, she genuinely has more of a social life than me haha! Oh & I had a go at vlogging today, I can't believe how easy YouTubers make it seem! I definitely need more practice, but it was pretty fun so I'm not gonna give up just yet (:

Another bit of news to share with you all & the reason for a serious lack of blog posts is that I've started uni again. I managed to sort out a transfer so I'm kinda busy with uni, plus house hunting & general lifey things that I've ended up neglecting my blog more than I meant to! I've already got a tonne of uni work to get through, but I'm really really going to try & get some sort of blogging schedule in place, I'm thinking Monday, Wednesday, Friday & Sunday for new posts?

Hows your Sunday been!?

south beach blogger spa day event

Last Wednesday I was invited to attend Hale Country Club & Spa to view South Beach's newest collection & spend the day relaxing & being pampered. It was my first blogger event that I actually attended, the opportunity to have a spa day was too good to resist & as it was reasonably close to home I decided to push myself & go along. I am so so glad I forced myself to go & although I was really shy & felt quite nervous I had such a nice day & everyone was so lovely! The day started off by having a tasty mocktail & a cute cupcake followed by an introduction to South Beach's current & future swimwear, loungewear & fitness range. We then had the chance to take lots of photos & choose our favourite piece, there are so many amazing designs & lots of styles to suit different body types. We spent a while snapping photographs & rummaging through our goodie bags before heading down to the changing rooms to get into our new swimwear & super soft fluffy robes. The morning was spent splashing about in the heated outdoor pool & jacuzzi, taking photos on underwater cameras & non stop chatting about all things blogging.
Photo pinched from Katie - read her post here!
Then lunchtime rolled around & I had decided to take a risk & opt for the Sushi, I'm a newbie when it comes to Sushi so I wasn't sure if I was going to like it but oh my god it was the yummiest meal I'd ever eaten! For dessert I had a Chocolate & Pistachio Brownie & again I was in food heaven!

After lunch we went into the spa to use the sauna rooms & infinity pool. I have never felt so relaxed in my life, I genuinely felt like I was away on holiday, not 10 minutes away from the city centre of Manchester! To finish off the day I was treated to an OPI manicure, a lovely way to end such a lovely event.

I can't thank South Beach enough for inviting me along to such an incredible event, I had the most chilled out day ever & I want to repeat it all over again! & thank you so much to Hale Country Club & Spa for allowing us to spend the day there, I will almost certainly be back in the near future for another day of relaxation & pampering!
