Pug Owner Problems

UK Blogger, Liverpool Blogger, UK Dog Blog, Pug Blog,
I have three squishy little furbabies who take up the majority of my time, whether thats cuddles on the sofa, walkies to the park, trips to the vets or feeding time at the zoo, my life revolves around them but I wouldn't have it any other way!

June Goals

UK Blogger, Liverpool Blogger, UK Beauty Blog, UK Lifestyle Blog,
How are already half way into 2017!? Setting out aims at the beginning of the month is something I really enjoy doing, whether I stick to them is another story but at least I try!

01. Blog Consistently. This is a big one for me as I get so much enjoyment out of blogging but rarely give myself the time to do it.

02. Use my time more wisely. I'm a "tomorrow never comes" kinda girl. I always say oh I'll do that later & do I get round to it? Nope.

03. Create more fashion content. I had a photo sesh with Becca a few weeks back, I waved goodbye to my comfort zone & had a lil pose. Keep your eyes peeled for sassy, stylish shots of me... lol.

04. Continue going to the Gym. I've started working out with my gal pals & I absolutely LOVE it! I actually don't understand why people are so against exercise because the feeling afterwards is so rewarding... trust me & give it a go. My schedule is about to get crazy busy this month (hello six day working week... more on that later!) so I want to ensure I still get those workouts done.

05. Ease myself into my new routine. I start a full time job next week which is going to be a bit of a shock to the system after only having a 20hr contract at my previous job. I'll also be commuting for about an hour each way so my days are about to become super long. I'm scared but excited for the change & need to keep reminding myself that change takes time to adjust to!

What are your goals for June?

Five Happy Thoughts

A positive mind is one aspect of my life I'm really trying to work on, I mean most things are good but I'm quite the Debbie Downer & always put a negative spin on everything. I've definitely made more of a conscious effort to think in a positive way & often correct myself for having such a gloomy outlook on life.

The Blogger Sleepover

A couple of weeks ago I was invited along to The Blogger Programme Sleepover with my besties Becca, Jodes & Gee. The sleepover was hosted in the most amazing 3 bedroom suite, Taj 51 Buckinghamgate, I had a real 'pinch me is this real life moment' because it was such a dream to be staying there. Everything about the hotel was perfect, from the beautiful Blossom Tree & water fountain (fun fact - it was gifted by Queen Victoria!) in the grounds, to the most attentive & friendly staff I'd be honoured to stay here again. I was treated like royalty for a weekend.

8 Ways to Get Cosy

UK Blogger, UK Lifestyle Blog, Chelsea Peers Pyjamas, Getting Cosy, MandM Direct, Pug

I don't know about you guys but for me there is nothing better than fresh bedding, new pjs & all of the pug cuddles. It's my favourite way to get cosy, add in a candle, a mug of warm tea, a good book & voila you've got a perfect night in. Yeah, I'm a very wild 25 year old!

We spend a huge chunk of our time asleep so I enjoy treating myself to bedtime luxuries like soft new pyjamas & crisp, clean bedding. In fact I'm pretty sure my pyjama pile is greater than my everyday clothing but I'm totally okay with that. I'm a bit obsessed with my latest pair of pjs, the Chelsea Peers Macaroon Pyjama Set* because well, firstly THEY ARE COVERED IN PASTEL MACAROONS = mega Instagram points & secondly they are the comfiest jim jams I've ever worn. I posted a snipped of them on my Birthday Instagram photo & seriously I felt famous for the day, my DM's had never been so busy! You all wanted to know how to get your hands on these super cute pjs & I urge you to all hurry up & head over to MandM Direct because they are on sale for less than £14!!

Lets get cosy...

1. Stating the obvious here seeing as though I've already banged on about it in this post but comfy PJs/loungewear!
2. Pop on some fluffy socks too for extra cosiness.
3. Blankets, blankets & more blankets! Making a blanket den on the sofa & snuggling on down is my favourite hobby.
4. The biggest bubble bath you can imagine. Run a hot bath with a LUSH Bubble bar, throw in a bath bomb for good measures & soak until you're all wrinkled up!
5. HOT CHOCOLATE. I'm a big coffee drinker but you can't beat that taste of delicious melted chocolate, whipped cream & a heap of marshmallows.
6. Light lots of candles.
7. Cuddle up with your bf/gf/friend/pug/a pillow (lol)
8. Wrap up in your warmest jumper & biggest scarf, then adventure out into the fresh air.

Primark AW16 Press Day

Primark AW16, Primark Fashion Blogger, UK Fashion Blog, Primark AW16 Press Day, Fashion
Primark is one of my favourite high street stores, with it's fast, affordable fashion what is not to love?
As Autumn is quickly approaching I thought it was about time I shared some of the items I was able to see on display at the Autumn Winter Press Day. There was lots of blush pinks, glitter, rose gold & all of the textures you can imagine, faux fur, embroidered denim & silk to name a few. Primark have always been my go-to shop & now some of these items are starting to arrive in-store I'll be popping in every week to see what I can find!

I was able to take little Lulu Pug along with me to the press day which was the best thing ever, so scroll to the bottom of the post to see her posing away for Primark's Instagram & enjoying her new found fame!

Both of these bags scream Christmas party to me, the rose gold sequins number is seriously pretty & I'm sure I'll be seeing it all over the blogosphere!

Copper rails holding all of the new season collection, so many beautiful pieces I just wish I could have it magically appear in my wardrobe...

These rose gold brushes attracted a lot of attention & got everyone talking! I've actually seen these in store recently & they are super cheap with prices starting at £1. I decided to pick up the rose gold eyelash curlers when I saw those, they're a perfect blog photo prop as well as being useful too of course.

Primark homeware is my weakness. It's so cheap it's easy to transform a room on a budget, I'm a big fan of their cushions, throws & candles, I could spend a fortune. I got a bit overexcited when we reached the homeware section, it was like walking into a bloggers dream. Cacti, pineapples, pugs, pastel colours & copper, a perfect theme!

Pom moms are everywhere & I am absolutely loving this trend! I especially love this fun flamingo print cushion.

August Goals

UK Beauty Blogger, Beauty Blog, Liverpool Blogger, Liverpool Beauty Blogger, August Goals,
I love doing these posts at the beginning of each month as it gives me something to check back on whenever I hit a bit of a slump. It's good for me to set a few goals that I hope to achieve because otherwise I tend to slack & tell myself I can do it tomorrow instead.

One - Be more creative. You may know from Twitter/Instagram that I've been hanging out with Becca & Jodes this week, they've been staying at mine & seeing them both work so hard on their content has really inspired me to get going again. This afternoon I had a huge photo session with them & absolutely loved working around other creative people. It was such fun to bounce ideas off each other & see what the outcome was!

Two - Look after myself. I've been feeling very low about my appearance for a long, long time & I'm so fed up of feeling this way. I am desperate to get my teeth fixed so that I can smile with confidence, it's been on my mind for years but I never get round to booking a consultation because I'm so ashamed of the state of them. I also could do with changing my diet, not in a drastic way but less sugar & perhaps a bit more exercise would probably make a difference to my energy levels.

Three - Read a new book. Reading is one of my favourite pastimes & I definitely need to take more time out to curl up with a book. I have a huge stash of unread books that I need to work my way through!

Four - Finish our bedroom. It's so close to being complete now it just needs a few final touches & then I'll be happy. I'm having a little makeup station built into the alcove this weekend & our floors could do with another layer of paint. Our bedroom is even better than I imagined it to be so I can't wait for it to all be done, I might even do a bedroom tour if anyone wants to see!

What are your August Goals?

The Secret Life of Pets with Petplan

The Secret Life of Pets, SLOP Movie, Secret Life of Pets Mel The Pug, Secret Life of Pets Petplan UK, UK Blogger, Liverpool Blogger, UK Beauty Blogger,
- Sponsored Content -

As soon as I saw the trailer (watch the trailers here & here!) for The Secret Life of Pets I knew I would be heading to the cinema to watch it. Luckily enough for me I was invited to attend an exclusive screening with Petplan on the 19th June. Our Pugs, Tilly & Lulu, are insured through Petplan Dog Insurance with their lifetime cover, something that is very important to us & has been extremely valuable as we have had to use our insurance a couple of times to claim.

Before the screening began we were invited into the foyer for refreshments & there was lots of fun stuff going on too. The activities were mostly aimed at Children but we joined in with a few things & got new Dog Tags made for Tilly & Lulu which was a nice little extra. We had the absolute pleasure of meeting Edna the Pug who was part of the Dog Petting station, it was a lovely experience & made me wish Tilly & Lulu had been able to attend too! There was also a Rabbit petting station too, it was adorable to see all the fluffy bunnies hopping around & lapping up the attention. The atmosphere was lovely, you could tell everyone was really excited about the activities that had been arranged, it was the perfect way to while away some time before we could take our seats in front of the big screen!

The Secret Life of Pets, SLOP Movie, Secret Life of Pets Mel The Pug, Secret Life of Pets Petplan UK, UK Blogger, Liverpool Blogger, UK Beauty Blogger,

I'm not going to give too much away about the movie, so don't worry, no spoilers here! What I will say is that it was such an adorable film, perfect for Children but also perfect for us pet crazy adults too. The main reason I was interested in seeing the film so much was of course because it featured the cutest little Pug, named Mel. They represented the personality of the Pug so accurately, every time Mel did something in the movie I was constantly reminded of my two hilarious little Pugs. They have the most comical, loving & playful personalities & I am so glad that was shown in the film. It's an absolute must-watch for anybody with a Pet in their life, it's a heartwarming comedy that I could rewatch over & over!

Will you be heading to the cinema to see The Secret Life of Pets?

I was provided with tickets to the screening of The Secret Life of Pets from Petplan UK & Universal, but as always all views are my own. The Secret Life of Pets 2016 © Universal Studios. All Rights Reserved.

June Goals

I loved starting last month with a goals post, (May Goals) it gave me something to look back on when I was feeling demotivated so I thought I would continue it for the month of June. June is going to be an extremely busy month for me & when I think about everything that is going on I feel overwhelmed. It's all exciting stuff though, I just need to be extra organised to pull it all off!
One - Continue working as much as possible on my blog. Last month didn't go to plan at all & I've now got a broken MacBook but I am powering through & using Doms Windows laptop to get some posts finished. I'm one of those people that is never happy with their own work which is why my blog posts are so sporadic, I am trying to stop being so hard on myself though & let of those feelings. We will see...
Two - Make more of an effort to eat healthier. I'm not going to suddenly switch up my diet completely but I am feeling more sluggish than ever recently & I know one reason is down to my diet. We get lazy & order takeaway too much or I'll snack on huge chocolate bars throughout the day & never want to eat a proper meal.
Three - Improve my photography. I love taking photos but it also stresses me out at the same time. I'm a big believer of practice makes perfect so I'm going to stop freaking out over photo taking sessions & concentrate on what I'm doing instead.
Short but sweet, those are my goals for June. Now I'm off to pack my suitcase for a fun mid week trip away with the Pugs!
Have you set any goals for June?

When Becca & Rupert Came to Stay...

UK Beauty Blogger, Liverpool Blogger, Pug Blogger, Pug Blog, Fawn Pugs,
Being a Pug mama has given me the opportunity to meet some amazing people, through Pug meet ups, Facebook groups & even Blogger events I've made lots of new friends all because we have a squishy little fur baby. I'm always saying how good it is to talk to people who completely understand the obsession I have over Tilly & Lulu & we all rock the crazy Pug owner status perfectly! There is something about our squashy dogs that bring all of us together in the best way, whenever I meet a fellow Pug owner I could honestly talk for hours about our dogs.
At the Tangle Teezer Pug Love Event I met Becca Rose & her handsome Rupert Pug, we instantly got chatting about all things Pug related & made sure to hang out again soon. Isn't it the best when you meet someone & get on with them so well from day one? Becca & Rupert made the long train journey up to Liverpool to come see us & stay for a couple of days, we planned to visit the Bubblebecca house (post soon!) & I also drove Becca to IKEA as she had never actually been inside one! Our weekend was filled with pizza, shopping & pugs, it was literally heaven.
On the Sunday, the day Becca & Rupert left, we did a huge photoshoot with the Pugs, it resulted in over 800 photos! I've been working my way through them ever since, picking my favourites which has been tough because they are all so good & SO CUTE. Pugs are the best at posing, their little head tilts & their adorable facial expressions make the perfect photos, hence why this post is ridiculously photo heavy! I know you all love a Pug photo spam though which is why I went to town & included so many.

Becca vlogged a lot of the time so you can go see us having all of the fun over on her channel, I'm so glad she documented it because now I have all those memories to watch over & over. We had such a fun, Pug filled weekend, I can't wait to do it all over again when I go to stay at Beccas next month!

The Blogger Friend Tag

(PaperJung Cards)
I've seen The Blogger Friend Tag appear on quite a lot of blogs over the years but never thought to give it a go until my friend Stephanie suggested we should do it. Stephanie blogs over at www.ouistephanie.com & has been a friend, as well as a blogger friend since 2014. We've both answered the questions on each others blogs, here is the link to my answers!

Q) How and when did you meet?
A) We met at work, in October 2014! She transferred to the store I was working in and we got chatting and I realised I recognised her blog username. She inspired me to start blogging again!
I miss those days were we would chat all things blog related whilst we were supposed to be working!

Q) What's your favourite memory together?
A) We used to have all kinds of fun at work together but we had a trip to Cheshire Oaks once which was a fantastic day <3
That actually was a fantastic day, we need to go again but please keep me away from the Yankee Shop this time!

Q) Describe each other in one word.
A) Pugsessed. That's a real word.
Hahaha I love this, yep it's a real word!

Q) What's their dream job?
A) I think she'd love to be able to earn enough to blog as a job, or something design related otherwise.
The dream! But yeah I'd love to do more design related work, I also love doing Visual Merchandising at work so thats an option too.

Q) What's their favourite makeup brand?
A) I'm not too sure but I know she loves Soap & Glory, in particular their Archery eyebrow pencil!
I don't think I could choose one favourite brand but you're right, I do love Soap & Glory, especially the brow pencil (:

Q) What is something that annoys you about the other person?
A) She now lives way too far away and it's so difficult to plan to do anything together. Also she'd had a broken phone so we've been messaging on Twitter rather than texting..!
Hey, my phone is fixed now so feel free to text away! We need to arrange a day out again too...

Q) If you could go anywhere in the world together, where would it be and why?
A) I definitely think it would have to be somewhere exploring America together. Maybe California for the potential road trips?
How good would this be!! Can it happen please?

Q) Favourite inside joke?
A) Any joke about our old store, really!
Omg alllllll of the drama used to happen at work...

Q) Who takes longer to get ready in the morning?
A) I think Laura definitely takes more pride in her appearance than I do. Sometimes I can get ready in 10-15 minutes if I really can't be bothered!
I wouldn't say I take more pride in my appearance, you always look lovely!

Q) Their favourite season?
A) I'll go with summer!
I do love the warmer days but my fave season is actually Winter, I LOVE CHRISTMAS! <3

Q) Their favourite song?
A) I feel like this is something that changes a lot, so I'll just say; nothing that's on the work playlist...
Yep, I don't really have a favourite song I just stick a playlist on Spotify & sing along!

Q) Do they prefer heels or flats?
A) It depends on the situation but probably comfy flats.
Flats, always. Heels for a special occasion but otherwise flats.

Q) Do they prefer pants or dresses?
A) I don't think she ever wore trousers to work, so dresses/skirts.
For work I never wear the "formal" style trouser but I do love a good pair of black skinnies. Otherwise dresses are my fave to wear!

Q) What's their favourite animal?
A) No prizes for knowing the answer to this is puggles!
Yay for Pugs <3

Q) If their house was burning down, and their entire family was sure to be okay, what would they save and why?
A) Honestly she's just spent so much time and effort doing her house up, she would probably do her damnedest to just put it out instead of letting it burn!
Haha so true. If I HAD to save something it would probably be my bed, it's like a marshmallow, so soft & comfy.

Q) Do they prefer comedies, horrors, or chick-flicks?
A) I think she appreciates a good chick flick!
I do, I do! Or a Rom-Com.

Q) Are they team Samsung or team iPhone?
A) She's recently been team no phone, but usually team iPhone!
Team iPhone <3

Q) What's their favourite movie?
A) I have no clue, so I'm going to take a stab in the dark and say Mean Girls, because who doesn't love Mean Girls?
I love Elf but thats a Christmas one so probably doesn't count! Mean Girls is great though too!

Q) What is something weird that they eat/don't eat?
A) PRAWNS. SHE DOESN'T EAT PRAWNS! Hahaha!
Hahaha Prawns are disgusting! The texture omg.

Q) Do you guys have anything matching?
A) I'm going to say probably- since we both work/ed for the same company.
Maybe a shirt/blouse?

Q) What's their favourite TV show?
A) I don't think she watches much TV, but probably something on Netflix!
Yeah I love Netflix, I was hooked on PLL, the new series needs to hurry up.

Aw this was SO much fun, I loved answering the questions about Stephanie & reading the answers she put about me. Let me know if you join in with the Blogger Friend Tag (:

Four Things To Do In Spring

Spring Cherry Blossom,
The Weather has been very hit & miss the past couple of weeks, we've had Snow, (yes, really in May!) heavy rainfall & even a heatwave. Today is one of those glorious days though, I can hear birds tweeting away & the warm Morning Sunshine is creeping in through the slats in the blinds. This is my favourite kind of day, when the heat isn't too unbearable, the sun gives everything a happy glow & I instantly fill up with motivation to get out & make the most of it!

Have a Picnic in the Park - I love the idea of Picnics but never actually make them happen. Taking a big blanket, lots of yummy nibbles & sitting under a pretty Blossom tree in the Park with Dom & the Pugs sounds so idyllic to me right now. I'm such a homebody I'll always choose sitting on the sofa at home over going outside to explore but I definitely need to get out more, breathe in the fresh air & enjoy the great outdoors! We have 3 beautiful parks nearby so it's my goal to take advantage of this & arrange a picnic sometime soon.

Buy Fresh Flowers - A bloggers favourite thing to do during any season, but nothing beats finding your first bunch of Peonies of the year! I also love a bouquet of bright, colourful Tulips & a spray of Gypsophila in a glass bottle displayed on a shelf is pretty cute! Bringing fresh flowers in to our home helps to cheer the place up, I love seeing them bloom into life.

Try Out a New Recipe - In the warmer months of the year I feel more inspired to try out new recipes, I crave crunchy, fresh salads with a dressing drizzled over the top, icy refreshing drinks & tasty fruit dishes. I'm not the most creative when it comes to making recipes but I'm gonna give it a go! Last year I created Mojito Mocktails, the perfect drink to enjoy on a Spring/Summer evening.

Have a Spring Clean - A cliche thing to do as everyone seems to do a big Spring clean but this is something I'm really focusing on at the moment. We've been DIYing almost every spare moment, finishing off all the little odds & ends, trying to tie it all up & finish off the place so you can imagine there has been lots of mess, lots of rubbish & lots of DIY tools around. We have a joiner coming in soon to build shelving, cupboards, wardrobes, practically everything, so soon I'll be in storage heaven & everything will have a home.

Let me know what things you like to do in Spring!

I Just Love It Pizza Making Event

Way back at the end of February I was lucky enough to be invited along to a Pizza making class with I Just Love It, a brand that specialise in personalised gifts. I know I'm a naughty blogger only just getting round to posting about the event but I didn't want to let the event completely pass me by without giving it a mention.

So, on Thursday 25th February I hopped on a train to London & made my way over to La Cucina Caldesi to have a go at making my very own Pizza. I was greeted with a glass of Prosecco & fresh Focaccia to nibble on whilst chatting with the other bloggers before the class began. Once the chef, Steffano, was ready to teach us all the art of Pizza making we put on our aprons & gathered around the big table in the centre of the room. Steffano has some seriously impressive Pizza making skills, he made it look so easy! When it was time for me to knead my pizza dough into a circular base I soon realised just how tricky it can be, I needed a helping hand to get my pizza into shape. Next up was adding the toppings, I chose Salami, Mozzarella, Basil & a big helping of Rocket sprinkled on top of the Pizza straight after it was removed from the oven. I have to say sliding my Pizza onto the huge shovel thing (no idea what it's called!) without squashing it & then carrying it over to the ovens without dropping it was a nerve-wracking experience. However it was a really fun cookery class & I spent most of the evening laughing at the state of my sorry looking pizza, it did taste delicious though!
Once we had all finished our Pizza it was time to head home, but not before being given our goody bags. Included in the bag & in keeping with the theme of the evening was my very own Personalised Rustic Pizza Plate which is amazing, now I'm the proud owner of a plate that will actually fit a Pizza on properly! Other goodies I received are a Personalised Cushion Cover, Great British Chocolate Fish & Chips12 personalised pencils, a Cocktail-Inspired Candle & a Personalised Silver Plated Vintage Teaspoon. My favourite item has got to be the little teaspoon, it's so cute & perfect to use when I'm doing some baking. I also love that I got pencils with my blog name on, does this mean I'm a professional now? I Just Love It will be my go-to website whenever I'm on the hunt for a unique gift or something personalised of course.
The event also gave me the chance to see some of the products available over at IJLI which had been displayed on the shelves (see below) - how good do the Letter Lights look? It's amazing how many things can be personalised, there is literally something for everyone.
(Image Credit - Luke Carey Photographer)

A big thank you to the lovely Sophie for giving me the opportunity to attend such a fab event & for introducing me to the I Just Love It personalised gifting website. Here is the write up over on the IJLI blog if you fancy a read or a nosey at a few more photos from the evening.

5 Things To Do On Your Day Off

(Tilly totally feels my pain)

Having a day off work feels like a luxury to me at the moment & now that I've got two days off in a row (rare in retail) I've been told to rest by the Doctor as I'm suffering with some kind of virus, typical! I had so many ideas on how to spend my days off so whilst I'm tucked up in bed I thought I may as well share them anyway! Usually when my day off rolls around I treat myself to a lie in, but then the rest of my time is taken up by catching up with household chores & life admin things. Recently I've been feeling quite stressed with my lifestyle & things are gonna have to change, which is probably one reason why I'm always poorly. I really want to start utilising my time a bit better so now I've got this lil list to refer back to heres hoping I can learn to chill a bit more!

One: Begin the day with a pamper session, by this I mean the whole works, a long hot bubble bath, manicure, pedicure & a face mask! I feel like starting your day this way is such a treat & puts you in a good mood, ready to get on with whatever you've got planned.

Two: Read that book you've had sitting on your shelf for the past year. Dust it off, snuggle up under blankets on the sofa & lose yourself in a chapter or two.

Three: Try out a new recipe! I'm always saying I want to eat different meals but when it rolls round to the evening it's always easier to pop a pizza in the oven & be done with it. This is purely a lazy issue for me, once I've prepared a meal though I always feel a sense of satisfaction, especially when it tastes yum too!

Four: Do some DIY. & by that I don't mean home improvements I mean get crafty. I did a big eBay order the other night consisting of glitter, feathers & things to make a load of Christmas decorations for the house. I definitely know what I'll be doing when my next day off arrives!

Five: Become a tourist in your own city. This really appeals to me as we moved to a completely new city so we have lots of places still to discover. You can't really go wrong with a day of exploring, I'd start the day off by heading over to a coffee shop I'd never been to & go from there.

Maybe all these new *things* I'm planning on doing will result in a couple of blog posts too, who knows!
How do you like to spend your days off?

Sunday Summary

I feel like theres a lot to catch up on, I've not done a Sunday Summary for a couple of weeks now & some fun things have happened! The most exciting thing is getting Lulu Pug, but we also got our sofas delivered & finished decorating the living room, we've booked a trip to Brighton & had a few days out/double date nights with our friends. Oh & I got my hair done! So lots to report back on (:

I introduced Lulu Pug in Friday's blog post, we have adjusted well to life as a family of four (I know, I sound like I've just given birth to a newborn baby but my pugs are my babies haha..) & my whole week off has been spent settling the pugs into a routine together. So far, so good! We took Tilly & Lulu to Crosby beach today with our friends & their dog Bailey the Sprollie, all the dogs were in their element & I now have two sleepy pug's snoozing on the sofa with me!

I got my hair trimmed & had it balayaged, I think this is my fave hairstyle yet! It's different from what I usually have as I tend to stick to dark brown hair dyes but now I've got blonde running through it I'm tempted to get more put in.

As you probably know we moved over to Liverpool about 3 months ago now, we are discovering all our favourites places to eat, restaurants, takeaways & even cocktail bars. Luckily we have friends that have been able to recommend places to us as well but it's fun trying out lots of new places! I'm thinking of doing a little 'where to eat' guide, would anyone be interested!?

Apart from exploring our new city we've been dedicating most of our free time to DIY. The house was in a reasonable condition when we bought it, we are just trying to make it our own rather than live with the previous owners decor. I'm so happy with how the living room has turned out with it's crisp white walls, dark wooden original floorboards, high ceilings & our beautiful grey sofas! Now I just need to focus on getting some more accessories, find a coffee table & rug and it will be done! I'm gonna post a lil homeware wish list soon with all the things that I think will finish off the room. Our sofas are from made.com, we picked the Orson ones because I felt that the classic style suited our old Victorian Terrace perfectly.

Hope you've all had a good weekend!

Bill's & Brunch in London

I was just flicking through my camera roll on my iPhone, looking back at all the photos I took during my time in London when I suddenly got the urge to type up a blog post! I've been revisiting some of my old posts recently, mostly the more lifestyle kinda ones & feeling really glad that I took the time to document parts of my life. I love that feeling of nostalgia when you see photos of a particular event & reading back over some of my previous posts brought back so many memories that I had completely forgotten about. It's spurred me on to continue publishing more personal posts actually, sometimes I worry about sharing loads of stuff on the Internet, I dunno why really tho.
When I arranged to stay with my Sister in London we didn't make any official plans, in fact we never do really & find it much more enjoyable that way. There's no stressing over whether we will make it to certain places on time, we go with the flow & see where we end up! The day I arrived I mooched around Oxford St as I wanted to get a new outfit for the Oliver Bonas Christmas Preview, so I browsed in Topshop, H&M, all of the usual places (obviously had to snap the floral arrangements outside of Liberty!) and then I headed over to the LUSH Oxford St Store which I've been dying to visit. It was crazy busy but I purchased some of the items that are exclusives so I'll be popping up a post in the next couple of days! After that I hopped on the tube & went over to my Sisters flat to drop my bags off & decide where to go out for dinner. We ended up going to Bill's because neither of us had actually ever been, we shared a bowl of Pea & Mint soup and then we each had a burger. I'm not gonna lie I was pretty disappointed with my meal, the burger was really burnt (I asked for medium rare!) I don't understand the hype at all! I did however enjoy a Peach Bellini & I loved the way the restaurant was decorated. After our food we went for Cocktails, we ended up getting a Detox one made up of Kale & Spinach, just to try something different really & it was pretty tasty actually! We stayed out for a couple more hours, I don't see my Sister often so it was nice to sit & chat about life & things & properly catch up.
My second day in London was spent having a late Breakfast at the Cafe Hannah works at before getting in a car & going over to the OB event held at their Marylebone store. After the event I took a trip over to the made.com showroom as we have ordered a sofa so I went to check it out before heading over to Shoreditch to have a little explore. We went in & out of loads of different shops, mostly little independent ones selling cute stationery & homewares, then Hannah noticed a T2 Tea store so we went in & ended up whiling away a fair chunk of time. We were busy testing out different teas & tisanes & actually won one of the Pumping Pomegranate Tisanes! The Iced Teas they had out to sample were so refreshing after walking round London all day, the Apple Crumble one was tastyy. I saw a teeny tiny miniature dachshund too, so of course I squealed & couldn't stop smiling. I always have a little goal whenever I go to Shoreditch to see how many cute dogs I can spot, Shoreditch is the best for dog spotting haha & I saw a Frenchie too! Little side note... When I lived in London, before I had Tilly Pug I'd go Pug stalking & I'd be guaranteed to meet one hanging around the Brick Lane area!  After our little tea stop I realised we were close to the Beigel shop, I used to love getting a cream cheese beigel after a night out in Shoreditch so I had to stop & get one, for old times sake! Then we grabbed a Monmouth Coffee & hopped back on the Tube so I could pick up my bags from the flat before setting off on my mammoth bus journey (because of the Tube strike) over to Euston to catch my train back home to Liverpool. Whenever I visit London I always have the best time & it makes me feel so thankful that I had the opportunity to live down there for two years, plus I still have the opportunity to visit whenever I feel like it thanks to my lil sis!
