Pug Owner Problems

UK Blogger, Liverpool Blogger, UK Dog Blog, Pug Blog,
I have three squishy little furbabies who take up the majority of my time, whether thats cuddles on the sofa, walkies to the park, trips to the vets or feeding time at the zoo, my life revolves around them but I wouldn't have it any other way!

As soon as I saw the trailer (watch the trailers here & here!) for The Secret Life of Pets I knew I would be heading to the cinema to watch it. Luckily enough for me I was invited to attend an exclusive screening with Petplan on the 19th June. Our Pugs, Tilly & Lulu, are insured through Petplan Dog Insurance with their lifetime cover, something that is very important to us & has been extremely valuable as we have had to use our insurance a couple of times to claim.

Before the screening began we were invited into the foyer for refreshments & there was lots of fun stuff going on too. The activities were mostly aimed at Children but we joined in with a few things & got new Dog Tags made for Tilly & Lulu which was a nice little extra. We had the absolute pleasure of meeting Edna the Pug who was part of the Dog Petting station, it was a lovely experience & made me wish Tilly & Lulu had been able to attend too! There was also a Rabbit petting station too, it was adorable to see all the fluffy bunnies hopping around & lapping up the attention. The atmosphere was lovely, you could tell everyone was really excited about the activities that had been arranged, it was the perfect way to while away some time before we could take our seats in front of the big screen!

I'm not going to give too much away about the movie, so don't worry, no spoilers here! What I will say is that it was such an adorable film, perfect for Children but also perfect for us pet crazy adults too. The main reason I was interested in seeing the film so much was of course because it featured the cutest little Pug, named Mel. They represented the personality of the Pug so accurately, every time Mel did something in the movie I was constantly reminded of my two hilarious little Pugs. They have the most comical, loving & playful personalities & I am so glad that was shown in the film. It's an absolute must-watch for anybody with a Pet in their life, it's a heartwarming comedy that I could rewatch over & over!

Will you be heading to the cinema to see The Secret Life of Pets?

I was provided with tickets to the screening of The Secret Life of Pets from Petplan UK & Universal, but as always all views are my own. The Secret Life of Pets 2016 © Universal Studios. All Rights Reserved.

When Becca & Rupert Came to Stay...

UK Beauty Blogger, Liverpool Blogger, Pug Blogger, Pug Blog, Fawn Pugs,
Being a Pug mama has given me the opportunity to meet some amazing people, through Pug meet ups, Facebook groups & even Blogger events I've made lots of new friends all because we have a squishy little fur baby. I'm always saying how good it is to talk to people who completely understand the obsession I have over Tilly & Lulu & we all rock the crazy Pug owner status perfectly! There is something about our squashy dogs that bring all of us together in the best way, whenever I meet a fellow Pug owner I could honestly talk for hours about our dogs.
At the Tangle Teezer Pug Love Event I met Becca Rose & her handsome Rupert Pug, we instantly got chatting about all things Pug related & made sure to hang out again soon. Isn't it the best when you meet someone & get on with them so well from day one? Becca & Rupert made the long train journey up to Liverpool to come see us & stay for a couple of days, we planned to visit the Bubblebecca house (post soon!) & I also drove Becca to IKEA as she had never actually been inside one! Our weekend was filled with pizza, shopping & pugs, it was literally heaven.
On the Sunday, the day Becca & Rupert left, we did a huge photoshoot with the Pugs, it resulted in over 800 photos! I've been working my way through them ever since, picking my favourites which has been tough because they are all so good & SO CUTE. Pugs are the best at posing, their little head tilts & their adorable facial expressions make the perfect photos, hence why this post is ridiculously photo heavy! I know you all love a Pug photo spam though which is why I went to town & included so many.

Becca vlogged a lot of the time so you can go see us having all of the fun over on her channel, I'm so glad she documented it because now I have all those memories to watch over & over. We had such a fun, Pug filled weekend, I can't wait to do it all over again when I go to stay at Beccas next month!

Filming with Holland & Barrett

Back in December myself, Tilly & Lulu were invited along to Manchester to film with Holland & Barrett. We recently received the videos back so I thought it was about time I shared the footage with you all, plus a few photos from the day & what we actually got up to! I was really pleased to find out two of my friends had been asked to attend the event too, Abi with beautiful Bella the Border Collie & Cat with pretty little Prunella Pug! I didn't realise until we got the invitation that Holland & Barrett actually sold Dog products so it was great to see what they had available & the Pugs enjoyed munching on lots of treats & food.

When we arrived at the studio the Pugs instantly spotted the bowls of food on the floor & ran straight over to have their second breakfast of the day, greedy Pugs! There was also lots of toys dotted around for them to play with, they were in their element running round with the other dogs playing & causing mayhem! After the producers had finished shooting all the Holland & Barrett dog goodies it was our turn to be filmed & interviewed. We began with group shots of us all playing with the dogs which was fun getting them to run around with each other but also quite tiring too! Then we all took part in individual interviews which I was really nervous for because I'd never been filmed before & I actually didn't realise we were being filmed, I did think it was the just Pugs so I was a bit unprepared! Props to all you YouTubers who make it look SO easy! It's definitely given me the 'feel' for YouTube though & I would love to give it a proper go this year. You can watch my interview below, sorry for the awkwardness & also about 2.54 I know I look like I'm strangling Tilly but I promise I'm not haha, I had to keep her on the chair & she was such a wriggle butt!
Once filming was over I was given a goodie bag for the Pugs, it had the Yarrah Vegan Biscuits in which the girls had loved eating whilst they had been good during the shoot! We also got given a really nice Shampoo & Conditioner to try out, the Scruffy Chops Zest in Show Shampoo & Muddy Marvellous Conditioner. Both smell fruity & leave the girls coats feeling silky soft & clean! I'd never used a conditioner on them before but it makes all the difference so I will be doing so from now on. There was also some supplements included, Glucosamine being one of them which I was really pleased to see as Tilly Pug suffers from bad legs & it's important for her to take Glucosamine to look after her joints.

I had the best time at the event, I loved being able to bring my two little puggies with me, I always take them with me wherever possible & would love to take them to more blog-related events again! Thank you so much for inviting us along & for the girls goodie bag!

Pug Christmas Card Photoshoot

Tilly & Lulu are two popular little Pugs who have in fact received more Christmas cards than us this year! All their Puggy friends from around the World have been posting them festive cards with the most adorable photos on! It's been really exciting opening each card to reveal the cards the girls have been sent, it's just even more proof that all these squishy puggies really do love a photoshoot haha. We decided to get involved with the homemade Christmas card idea & did our own photoshoot on Sunday with the girls. Surprisingly they both behaved & posed patiently whilst I snapped away with my camera. I'm literally in love with how the photos turned out, I think I've managed to capture the perfect Christmas card shot with the Christmas tree in the background & the girls in their festive outfits. This is definitely the start of a yearly tradition now, it's so fun to do & now I've got loads of amazing photos of our lil pug babies! Have you ever had a photoshoot with your pet? Let me know, I'd love to see photos!

3-2-1

You might have noticed the new Three Mobile advert on TV that features a pug wearing a knitted birthday cake hat to promote the launch of their 3-2-1 pay as you go tariff. As I have my own cute little pug I was asked to take part in the campaign & answer a few questions!

I don't really like picking favourite songs but I have a few that I could never get bored of, no matter how many times I have them on repeat!

Howlin' For You - The Black Keys
Well Limitless is probably one of my favourite films & this song makes me happy!

Get Lucky - Daft Punk
Anything by Daft Punk is good in my eyes, Get Lucky was such a summer tune but I know I will still be listening to it for months!

Say My Name - Cyril Hahn
An amazing remix of Say My Name by Destiny's Child, Cyril is incredible at creating music, go have a listen (:

This was really tough for me, as London is my favourite city ever & living there for 2 years gave me a lot of opportunities to explore & discover new places to go. To be honest I love London as a whole from walking along the Kings Road in Chelsea pretending I'm rich to searching through the rails in the east end vintage shops found on Brick Lane, fighting my way through the busy crowds on Oxford St or venturing around Camden Market, having picnics along the canal at Victoria park or enjoying the festivities going on at winter wonderland in Hyde Park, watching the entertainers perform in Covent Garden or avoiding pigeon poop at Trafalgar Square, watching the London Eye rotating at snail pace whilst standing by the River Thames or even popping by to wave to Liz at Buckingham Palace, it really is the best city in the world to me!

I know I cheated here & uploaded more than two London photos but I couldn't help myself! I will say though that currently somewhere I always recommend is Portobello Market on a Saturday. Portobello Road is lined with pastel coloured houses, vintage treasures, freshly baked pastries & cakes & beautiful bouquets of flowers, it's a lovely place to look around! Another of my favourite London locations is a night out in Shoreditch, you'll find plenty of trendy cocktail bars & clubs that play decent music (in my opinion!) without the hassle you can be exposed to at bigger night clubs in central!

& here is my baby Tilly pug (:
