Tilly & Lulu are two popular little Pugs who have in fact received more Christmas cards than us this year! All their Puggy friends from around the World have been posting them festive cards with the most adorable photos on! It's been really exciting opening each card to reveal the cards the girls have been sent, it's just even more proof that all these squishy puggies really do love a photoshoot haha. We decided to get involved with the homemade Christmas card idea & did our own photoshoot on Sunday with the girls. Surprisingly they both behaved & posed patiently whilst I snapped away with my camera. I'm literally in love with how the photos turned out, I think I've managed to capture the perfect Christmas card shot with the Christmas tree in the background & the girls in their festive outfits. This is definitely the start of a yearly tradition now, it's so fun to do & now I've got loads of amazing photos of our lil pug babies! Have you ever had a photoshoot with your pet? Let me know, I'd love to see photos!
Little Lulu turned 6 years old on August 21st, so of course the party hats came out & peanut butter cupcakes were baked! I didn't take as many photos as I did at Tilly's 2nd Birthday Teaparty but I still couldn't resist sharing a few cute snaps. It was a lot harder to photograph two pugs together & get them to both keep their hats on, so I'm kinda proud I even got one decent shot!
They had so much fun eating their pupcakes, Tilly is supposed to be on a diet but I couldn't leave her out! I didn't take any photos of them eating them because I was just laughing at them so much whilst they gobbled them up. Pugs really are the funniest little dogs! Next year I want to throw each of the girls a party where I invite all of their Pug friends, our house isn't complete for lots of guests yet so we celebrated as a family of 4 instead! Lulu was completely spoilt with clothes, treats & toys, just what she deserves! <3
We welcomed a new member of the family to our home on Sunday, little Lulu Pug! An opportunity came up for us to go & rescue this dinky little dot, I was pretty hesitant as I was scared it would be a scam/go wrong/Tilly would hate her but Dom was really keen on the idea. I'm so thankful he managed to persuade me because it's been one of the best decisions we've made. We had a long drive to go save Lulu but it was completely worth it, I'm not gonna go into details about her previous life as we want to focus on giving her the life she deserves & not dwell on her past. Lulu is in her forever home with us now & we are so in love. Tilly Pug is obsessed, in fact a bit too obsessed but we are getting there & I'm sure they'll be inseparable soon! With Tilly Pug being an only child for two years I assumed she wouldn't adjust very well to another dog in the house, but I feel like a super proud pug mum because she's been really good! We've had a few lil arguments but nothing major or anything to worry about. We were after introducing another pug into our lives soon anyway, I've been desperate for Tilly to have a sister but when the time actually came I was nervous it wasn't going to work so I'm really pleased it's gone well! Pugs are such sociable dogs, I didn't really need to worry!
Let me tell you a little more about Lulu... She's almost 6 years old (her birthday is 21st August so watch out for a Birthday Party post!), she weighs 6kg, Tilly who weighs in at 8.3kg looks like a beast compared to her! Lulu gets extremely excited when it's din dins time & does a really cute dance whilst she waits. I think her grey chin is the cutest & she has the sweetest personality ever, she's very placid & chilled.
Please excuse Tilly's eye boogers, she was in diva mode when I was doing this photoshoot & wouldn't let me wipe them away! I love this photo so much though, it captures there personalities so well, with Tilly being a cheeky monkey & Lulu sitting all cute & patient!
It's early days so I'm not quite a pro yet, but if anyone wants any tips on how to settle a new dog into your home, let me know!
