Tilly Pug Turns Two

I think this is probably my favourite photo ever, Tilly is in her element!

On the 8th March Tilly Pug turned Two years old & I've been meaning to share her Birthday photos for ages but I took SO many that I just couldn't decide which ones to include! I've finally managed to pick out my favourites (sorry it's still so photo heavy... #pugspam) so whilst she is sleeping next to me I've logged into Blogger to type up this post!

You'll probably know already but I am one crazy Pug lady, Tilly is our little baby & I can't resist spoiling her with toys, treats & cuddles. I can only imagine this is how mothers feel about their human children! We decided to throw Tilly a tea party, so I whipped up a batch of peanut butter & banana pupcakes & filled the table with lots of other doggy treats. I bought pastel coloured party hats & paper plates to give it a real 'party' feel & of course Tilly Pug was more than happy to wear one of the hats! I managed to film a little Instagram video of Tilly excitedly eating her pupcake which I uploaded to her account @tillythepug - she'd love it if you popped over & said hi haha. Tilly was sent Birthday gifts from some of her Pug friends, Ellie & Darcie (@elliedarciepugs) sent the beautiful floral harness she is wearing along with a bandana, the birthday cake plushie that is pictured on the table & some treats and Milo, Angel Dolly & Sophia (@aj_jen_x // @chloeyjx) sent her the cutest little unicorn toy - safe to say Tilly is one lucky little puggy! Having a Pug has provided me with the opportunity to meet so many other pug owners & it's the best thing ever being able to meet up & fuss over all the amazing Pugs whilst chatting about all their funny personalities!
I know I always say this, but I've made a promise to myself to blog more often & stop neglecting this little space so much. I forgot how nice it is to sit down in an evening & type out my thoughts! Hope you've all had a lovely weekend (:

turning twenty three

I shouldn't really be writing this post as I have an exam to prepare for & coursework to complete, but in the midst of the stress & worry I decided to give myself a 30 minute break to relax & refresh. On Saturday I celebrated my 23rd Birthday so I thought I'd share some details from the weekend! It was a pretty quiet one, spent with my family but thats just how I like it, I'm basically a granny & I'm okay with that haha. On Friday I went for tea & cake, (well actually nutella hot chocolate in my case) with my Mum, Nana & little Sister Leah at a vintage tearoom in town. Instead of taking lots of photos I ended up just enjoying the moment & chatting with my family instead of arranging my vanilla cupcake neatly on the plate to ensure it was Instagram worthy. On the actual day of my Birthday Dom brought me Breakfast in bed, a feast of Waffles coated in Nutella & Strawberries with a big mug of Coffee. We then ventured out to the Trafford Centre for a bit of shopping & to finally try out Five Guys, which has now become my new favourite place to eat! Obsessed with the drinks machines... they literally had every flavour of fizzy drink you can imagine, Peach flavoured Fanta being the best in my opinion! To end my Birthday day Dom surprised me with a Coffee cake he had stayed up late to bake the previous night. It was genuinely the best Coffee & Walnut cake I've ever tasted, much better than any shop bought ones, which is quite surprising considering Dom hardly ever bakes... hidden talent I think! On Sunday Dom & I took the dogs out for a walk through the countryside, we completely underestimated how cold & muddy it was so as soon as we got home the fire was put on & hot chocolates were served! I'm heading to London at the end of the month for a belated Birthday catchup/celebration with my other Sister, can't wait to be back in the old smoke & have a little explore!

I kinda like doing these diary style posts every now & again, it's nice to have memories documented so I can read over them whenever I feel like reminiscing. What do you think?

twenty two

A little Birthday tea with Dom & my Mum's homemade coffee cake, mmm..  (p.s sorry for the bad quality of this photo!)

Last Friday I turned 22, which sounds really weird to me because when I was younger I used to think anyone in their twenties was really old & a "proper adult" & whilst I am an "adult" in the eyes of the law I certainly don't feel like I'm a proper adult & thought I'd have achieved way more by now, but nevermind!

Anyway I wanted to share some of my birthday photos as I had the nicest few days. I was spoilt rotten by Dom who took me for a meal at Jamie Oliver's Italian (order the funky chips - so so yummy!), followed by a trip to London a couple of days later for an afternoon treat at Laduree - the rose petal macarons are my faveee!

I didn't ask for much gift wise this year but I got lots of lovely bits & pieces, mostly home related things - yankee candles, pretty bathroom towels, cupcake themed items for my kitchen, cushions for the sofa & bed etcc. I haven't photographed all the bathroom/kitchen stuff, I'm thinking of doing a little flat tour if anyone would like to see that? I also asked for a couple of cook books as I want to try experimenting more when I cook meals for Dom & I but always struggle for ideas & inspiration! Super happy I got the Marc Jacobs Honey gift set, it will sit nicely next to my bottle of Marc Jacobs Daisy! The Cath Kidston baking set is the cutest, I can't wait to do some baking now, although I'm not sure I want to get the apron mucky because it's so pretty!
