wednesday wishlist #9

one | two | three | four | five

Topshop Print Shirtdress: When I saw this dress I instantly loved it, but then I saw the price and fell out of love with it just as quick. The print is kinda crazy but there is something that draws me to it! I think shirt dress can be really flattering and this would look lovely in the Spring with my bowler hat, loafers and ankle socks!

Mickey Mouse Moleskine Notebook: I had a Moleskine diary last year and stupidly forgot to repurchase another this year and being the weirdo that I am I can't bring myself to buy one and start it in February leaving January empty! I'd feel like it's a waste! This little notebook is so cute though and it's always handy to have one in my bag.

Topshop Lip Crayon's: I haven't tried a lip crayon and because I love Topshop lipsticks so much I'm keen to see what these are like!

ASOS Scallop Bag: How pretty is this bag!? It reminded me of the Mulberry Bayswater Cookie range and it's also available in blue or a larger version in lilac or tan

Gold Heart Thumb Ring: Slowly building up a collection of tiny gold rings and this cute one would fit right in! (:

Bowler Hat - ASOS | Boyfriend Coat - Missguided | Jumper - Topshop | Jeans - Topshop | Spiked Shoes - Sheinside | Bag - Zara | Lipstick - Topshop 'Beguiled'

First outfit post of 2013 & to be honest, the first one in ageeeees! Outfit posts are my favourite but I always struggle to get decent photos in my room & have to wait until I can make my boyfriend snap some shots of me haha, thanks Dom (:

I got this coat last year for only £30, I'd been after a similar version in Topshop but it was way over £100 so when I found this one my Mum got it for my birthday. I'm forever wearing my bowler hat at the moment, I prefer it to a bobble hat as it doesn't get soggy with all the snow & rain! I bought my first pair of jeans in years after hearing lots of good things about the Topshop Leigh jeans, I love how skinny they fit, it really annoys me when 'skinny jeans' are baggy. They're really comfy too, considering they're quite tight fitting & I even have a pair of primark super cosy tights on underneath, I don't feel trapped! I was lucky enough to win my spiked shoes when Kim held a giveaway for $100 to spend at Sheinside waaaay back in August & I've yet to show them on my blog! Whenever I wear them I either get strange looks or told they're amazing & I should probably stop pretending to kick people with them because I'm going to end up actually kicking someone one day & it'd be pretty painful! They're quite furry though so I've swapped into my Chelsea boots to walk to uni in, that way then don't get soggy from the snowy pavements!

I am absolutely loving the snowfall in London, I'm like a little kid, I always get so so excited when it snows! It has even made the grim little area I live in quite pretty, snow makes everything so much nicer!  I've been playing in the snow all morning, taking photos with my housemates & throwing snowballs at each other, Dom included, in fact Dom started the fight, meanie! I'm now heading to the library to study for a bit as I've been so distracted by the snow all weekend I've done nothing... tonight we will be at spoons having our usual Sunday evening burger & drink deal! Yesterday I went to Brick Lane for browse & ended up buying a few things which I'll do a little post on tomorrow.

Hope you're all having fun in the snow & keeping safe!

wednesday wishlist #7

one | two | three | four | five | six | seven | eight

A wishlist dedicated to Topshop, I have asked for some Topshop vouchers for Christmas & my 21st birthday, so I thought I'd base this wishlist around that then I'm prepared to hunt for these pretty things when I go shopping!

What are some of your favourite picks from Topshop at the moment?

wednesday wishlist #5

one | two | three | four | five | six | seven | eight | nine

Red Tartan Scarf: forever running into any h&m store I see to try & track down this damn scarf! no luck so far, & I'm really unwilling to pay postage for one little item...

Lord Pug Necklace: I love pugs, so how could I say no to this!?

Teddy Robe: So snuggly & cozy, perfect for the chilly nights that are already here!

Christmas Cookie Yankee Candle: My sister bought a little sampler of this last year, it's such a sweet vanilla scent, very similar to my all time favourite Vanilla cupcake, but as the holidays are approaching a Christmassy version makes sense!

Ren Skincare Kit for Normal Skin: Possibly already bought this as it was available on ASOS earlier with 25% off! I'm looking forward to trying out some decent skincare products.

Soap & Glory Smoothie Star: I'm yet to try a Soap & Glory moisturiser, but I have so much love for their products & the packaging is extra cute too!

Models Own Wonderland Collection: I already own far too many glitter polishes, but a few more can't hurt right!?

Topshop Crescent Moon Highlighter: I've actually been meaning to pick this up for a while now, everyt ime I'm in store I swatch it but never seem to walk out with it! I know this shade would be a nice match for my ghostly pale skin too (:

ASOS Cable Knit Mittens: These even have fleecy lining, my hands would be so snug! I wish these were available in cream, burgundy or navy though as the red & cobalt blue options wouldn't match with much in my wardrobe.

topshop lipstick | inhibition

I finally bought my first Topshop lipstick a couple of weeks ago, after umming and ahhing over which shade to buy for ages! I went for Inhibition as I tend to suit darker lipsticks rather than nude or pink toned ones. I originally wanted to get Beguiled but noticed Inhibition and preferred the colour of this as it wouldn't be as harsh.

The colour is a dark plum, I apply it lightly as it's quite pigmented and I don't want to look like a wannabe goff haha! Even when applied lightly it gives a strong colour, I love it though. People often compare the Topshop lipsticks to the MAC ones, I can't really say much though as I only have a lustre in MAC and this is a matte finish. I usually apply a lipbalm over the top to give a slight shine. The quality is great for the price though, I did buy a similar colour to this by the brand 17, it was almost £6 and was awful to apply! It didn't glide on my lips at all so I gave up and have never properly worn it. I do think Topshop makeup is lovely though, I want more of it, I have a blusher which I've had for well over a year, I use it everyday and I've still not hit pan. Their colour range is amazing, everytime I'm in Topshop I'm drawn to their makeup stand, the way they display the nail polishes is just perfect!

Have you tried any Topshop makeup?

wednesday wishlist #2

one | two | three | four | five

One - I'm in need of some simple tops that I can wear with my disco pants for a casual outfit, this is ideal and I don't own anything in this colour!

Two - Omg how adorable is this! I had a ring exactly like this from H&M but I've misplaced it :(...

Three - Essie polishes are so popular at the moment, there colour range is amazing though, these two need to be in my collection asap! (Tart Deco & Neo Whimsical if anyones wondering)

Four - A set of three little heart rings, I'd probably only wear one at a time, but it's cheaper to buy three than one so...

Five - I already have three pairs of these Topshop socks, everytime I go in store I have to stop myself buying more, I'm a massive fan of pastel colours, especially when it comes to accessories.

little grey dress

(Grey dress - Primark | Jacket - H&M | Frilly socks - Topshop | Underground Creepers - Office | Ring - Primark (old!) | Spike necklace - eBay)

Here is a quick outfit post today, not entirely happy with the photos but they will do! I missed Dom being my photographer haha, I balanced a load of boxes on my bed to act as a tripod for these!

The grey dress is a dupe of the Topshop speckle dress that almost everybody has, I searched everywhere for that damn dress but was never lucky enough to get my hands on it, so when I discovered this in Primark I snapped it up immediately. Primark sizing is ridiculous though, this is too big for me round the waist which is annoying, but I bought a pair of pjs in the same size and they are too tight for me... make up your mind Primark!

Quite a simple outfit today really, the weather is being strange, I normally wear black tights with this dress but decided to be abit more summery with the socks and clear tights, I'm not brave enough to have completely bare legs though! Not much else to say, I'm trying to be as productive as I can be today, so far so good, I got up at 9am which is almost unbelievable for me nowadays...

my week in photos #2

Messy ombre nails | Models Own Polish | Relaxing in little frilly socks
Rilakkuma case as featured in my wishlist! | Posing before I met my Nana | Coffee & teacakes! HERRO iPhone 4S ^__^ | Little Abi bear on my knee! | Huge dairy milk bar, mmm

Sorry my blogging has been abit on & off recently, I haven't had my laptop much as I've been here, there & everywhere! I will be doing a post tomorrow though & I'll try get back on track as I have tonnes of ideas!

Hope you're all okay & having a nice weekend, I did a carboot with Dom today, mix that up with being hungover & getting a burnt nose pretty much resulted in a disaster!! It wasn't what I was expecting anyway but nevermind :)

wednesday wishlist #1

one | two | three | four | five | six

One - Finally got an iPhone 4S today after months of heartbreak over my stolen iPhone 4, so I am going to treat myself to a ridiculous case! I did have the Rilakkuma case with ears originally!

Two - When I became a University student I promised myself to not splurge on high end makeup as I knew I wouldn't be able to afford it, I stuck to my rule and used Rimmel throughout the year, however it's summertime now and I've heard good things about MAC studio sculpt so I might invest! I used to wear MAC's studio fix fluid, which I loved (:

Three - This dress would be perfect for the wedding I'm attending in September, I'm addicted to the colour lilac at the mo! Plus the little gold tips are a lovely little touch.

Four - I never joined the hype when literally everyone had the double cross rings or the cross necklaces, but I do like this pearl cross necklace, I think it would go well with the dress I've also featured.

Five - FLATFORMS! I'm in love with these so badly, I need them in my life, the price is amazing too, so I'll probably be the owner of these very soon...

Six - The Minnie Mouse OPI collection is adorable, but Nothin' Mousie 'bout It' is my fave from the bunch! I'm a nail art addict, so I think it would be quite fun to try some designs out with the glitter hearts!

recent buys!

Recently I have been going a crazy and spending a fortune, I wanted to update my wardrobe a little as I feel like I always wear the same old outfits! I've also bought quite a lot of new products to try out, so some of these feature in this post too! Above are a few of my purchases, sorry I've used photographs from the internet rather than my own images, my camera is currently charging so I'm hoping to feature a few of these things in outfit posts/full reviews!

Topshop petite dark wash denim shirt - I finally found the perfect denim shirt! I can't even remember how long I've been searching for a shirt like this, so when I saw it in Manchester yesterday I ran over and grabbed it. I think everyone needs a denim shirt in their wardrobe, they're a great staple item and can be worn in so many different ways. This cost £32, but I got student discount.

Topshop basic crop tee - I LOVE these! I'm so glad I got hold of one, even though it's been raining and quite chilly in England recently I'm hoping it warms up so I can wear it with my other recent purchase DISCO PANTS! I bought those when American Apparel emailed their subscribers a 30% discount code. I feel like my life is complete now they are in my life (saddo)! (£8)

Soap & Glory flake away body scrub - I've heard good things about this exfoliating scrub so I thought I'd give it a whirl! I did only buy it in the travel size just in case I didn't like it, plus I adore mini products, but I absolutely love this stuff. The smell is amazing, and it's not rough on my skin either which is great. My skin feels lovely after using this. I will definitely be repurchasing the full size! (£2.50)

Essie mint candy apple nail polish - Okay so I really did jump on the bandwagon with this product, but I couldn't resist the colour sorry! I think it applies quite nicely, and if you use a topcoat it will last ages. I recently painted my nails with this colour as a base and then did leopard print accent nails, see my instagram (loulabeth) for a picture! (7.99)

Spike earrings - I found these via Victorias blog vipxo, as she does an eBay post each week, which I love to read! The earrings arrived super quick, considering they were from Hong Kong and they are a good size, not too big or too small! also, they are ridiculously cheap which is another bonus! (£1.39)

Hope you're all having a lovely sunday afternoon, I'm about to go and tuck into a roast dinner, mm!

wishlist #1

one: glitter jelly sandals - these are the cutest things ever, I had a few pairs when I was younger! I NEED them!
two: Cath Kidston cosmetic bag - I am in desperate need of a new makeup bag, my poor hello kitty one is completely trashed, it's torn and really worn out :(, this looks as though it would be a good size and is easy to keep free from makeup stains as it is made from wipe-clean oilcloth!
three: Topshop adrenalin nail varnish - This needs to belong to my pathetic nail varnish collection, I only have a couple of glitters, models own juicy jules & the OPI rainbow carnival dupe by technic, putting glitters over a neutral varnish is my favourite at the moment.
four: lilac knitted jumper - This is such a pretty colour, I think it is perfect for this time of year, as the weather is so unpredictable! I do already have a jumper like this in a cream colour that I picked up from primark and I'm lucky enough to have a nana who can knit, so she is currently knitting me a black version! jumpers are probably my favourite piece of clothing, so easy to throw over a little dress!
five: pony earrings - I rarely wear earrings, due to laziness probably and also I find them so uncomfortable to sleep in so I forget to put them back in!

When I first created this blog, I did intend on posting regularly, but settling into university life & also living in London kinda got in the way! I really enjoy reading other people's blogs though so now I have some time I'm excited to start blogging properly :)
Also, this was meant to post weeks ago, I have no idea what happened! & for some reason, my image has lost all its quality, so sorry, when I figure out what I'm doing I'll re-upload!
