ASOS Spring Picks

It finally feels like Spring has Sprung, with blossom trees blooming & blue skies making an appearance I want to put my thick knits & fleece lined leggings to the back of my wardrobe. I'm obsessing over anything blush pink still, I'm hoping this colour trend is going to continue because I can't get enough of it! I've also recently become a fan of the pleated midi skirt & I want to build up a pretty little collection for the warmer months when I'm not feeling brave enough to have my legs out. Another trend I'm LOVING is gingham, it kinda gives that school Girl Summer dress vibe but I like it & I'm gonna try rock it if I can... and obviously ruffles are huge right now. All I see in shops is ruffles & frills galore, gimme all the ruffle blouses please!

8 Things You Need From ASOS Right Now...

Ah ASOS, my bae when it comes to online shopping. Whenever I need a bit of retail therapy I can always count on ASOS to provide exactly what I'm after. Whether thats a cute new dress or the latest trainer trend, ASOS have got my back.

I'm obsessed with the baby pink & mint green Adidas Gazelle's that everyone & their mother seems to have at the moment. I could do with a comfy pair of shoes too so that makes them totally justifiable I reckon!  This Young Bohemians Dress is so sweet, I've actually already bought it & confirm it's even nicer in real life. Another purchase I've already made is the Cactus Pjs! I know everyone is loving this set but the purple pair caught my eye with the pastel colours & at £12 in the sale I snapped them up straight away. I'm pretty fussy when it comes to knitwear, especially cardis so when I saw Jodes in this chunky rib number I instantly asked her where she had bought it from. It's so cosy & comfy, I definitely need to invest in it for the upcoming Autumn/Winter months.

Young Bohemians is a new brand to me, but one I am religiously checking out each day on ASOS at the mo! There style is so dreamy & cool, I'm actually gutted this Pom Pom Trim Top is out of stock, it keeps popping back in stock so I'm praying my size becomes available soon. I always buy my flats from ASOS, simply because they're one of the few brands that actually fit my tiny feet. I'm a size 3 but my feet are also really narrow I struggle finding shoes that actually stay on & are comfortable to wear. The Monthly Silver ones are so nice, I love a statement shoe! When I lived in London a few years ago I'd love nipping into Lazy Oaf on Carnaby Street to check out their latest collections, their pieces are so fun & playful. The Oversized Dog Shirt is perfect for a crazy dog lady like me, I love the sketchy style monochrome print. Bomber Jackets have been everrrrywhere recently & I was really undecided on whether to get one or not. I'm not usually a blush pink kinda girl but I'm trying to play around with colour these days & it goes well with my black & white wardrobe!

What are you loving from ASOS right now?

Love The Sales Wishlist

LoveTheSales Wishlist, lovethesales.com, uk blogger wishlist,

I'm not usually one to shop in the sales, I find it tedious searching through rails of unordered clothing & going through my favourite websites to find a bargain can be really time consuming which is why I don't often bother. When I was introduced to lovethesales.com I was intrigued to have a browse as it's a website that merges sale items from all the top high street stores into one place, making sale shopping a lot easier.

I have been invited to one of Doms work colleagues Wedding parties in June so I'm currently outfit hunting & I'm thinking of opting for a midi skirt with a pretty pattern on or a pastel coloured one that I can pair with a little blouse & simple strappy heels. I decided to browse the Ted Baker sale section as it's usually out of my price range & I came across some beautiful pieces, my favourite being the Linear Nouveau Midi Skirt, it's seriously dreamy. It would be perfect for a Wedding, the pretty pattern is just enough detail & the pastel shades are the kinda colours I always picture for weddings. I've also had a scroll through the Missguided sale pages & I can never resist a look at what Topshop has on offer.

Love The Sales makes sale shopping much more fun, it's easy to find a bargain with the ability to filter your search results to display items available in your size & from your chosen brands. The site is built up from 100's of retailers & 1000's of items, all of which are in real time, meaning no more disappointment when you click 'Add to Basket' only to be told it's out of stock. Everyone loves a good deal, not only on clothes but also homewares, electronics & beauty so if you're after saving yourself a few pennies head over to lovethesales.com - let me know what bargains you find!

Do you like shopping the sales?

An ASOS Wishlist

You know when you look in your wardrobe for something to wear & stand staring at it for a good five minutes because you literally hate everything you own? That has been me for the majority of the year, I've become so lazy with my style that chucking on an old baggy jumper & my trusty Topshop Joni Jeans on has been my go-to outfit. I caught sight of myself in a full length mirror the other day (currently on the hunt for a bedroom one) & had a sudden realisation of how awful I actually looked, so as soon as I got home I grabbed my laptop & clicked straight onto ASOS! I can always rely on ASOS to supply me with new clothes, I'm loving the festival/boho fashion at the moment so spent a good chunk of time browsing their Prarie trend section. All of the pretty embroidered detailing, pale denim, ruffled shirts & smock dresses be mine plz.

How beautiful is the Denim Smock Dress!? I'm imagining it with tan coloured sandals, a bucket bag & cat eye sunglasses. I think it's gonna be the 'blogger' dress of the Summer, I've already seen a few raving about it! I'm surprised at myself for not picking out more pastel coloured items, pastels scream Spring to me but can wash me out so I do find it tricky to get the balance right with lighter tones. I'm always gonna be a black/white/grey kinda gal! Whenever I'm browsing ASOS I can never resist typing 'Pug' into the search bar to see what new goodies they've added to the site. I can't deal with how cute the Skinnydip Angel Pug iPhone Case is & the matching Makeup Bag too has got my name all over it.

I used to find ASOS overwhelming to shop on because of the sheer amount of stuff they stock but now I get excited to navigate my way through pages & pages of items to see what else I can find. It's like a treasure hunt! I always break my search down by entering keywords into the search bar & then I choose brands I know I can afford, along with picking colours I like & finally I select my size options too! That way I know the stuff being displayed isn't anything out of reach. I also love browsing the trend sections if I've got a particular item in mind. So really ASOS isn't as overwhelming as I used to find it, you've just gotta tailor your search & be a little more specific, then voila!

Whats on your wishlist at the mo?

New Year New Wardrobe Wishlist

New Year, New Me... no not really but it is the perfect excuse for a new wardrobe! It's still pretty chilly here in the UK & no doubt it will be for the remainder of the year which means I'm being drawn to chunky knit jumpers & bobble hats. I'm in desperate need for a new bag & I think I've found *the one*, after searching through every shop imaginable I came across the ASOS grey winged tote bag & it's perfect! Well obviously a Kate Spade/Mulberry/Whistles bag would be perfect but for now this lil ASOS beauty will have to do instead! I'm loving A-line skirts at the mo & I'm really hoping they continue to be on trend throughout the rest of 2016 because I feel like they really flatter my figure & tucking a jumper into one is pretty much all I wear these days. Oh & I don't even like cats but for some reason I really need the kitty cat flats in my life, the ankle strap & the pointed toes make such a nice combo! Well I'm definitely ready for a shopping spree now, it's a good job I've got a Topshop voucher that needs spending & something Birthday cash leftover...

A Homeware Wishlist

one | two | three | four | five | six | seven | eight
It's Saturday night & here I am, sat in bed (still waiting on the arrival of our sofa) browsing through Pinterest etc looking for interior inspiration. We were supposed to have a really productive DIY day but with one thing after another today was basically written off & I reverted back to bed by 4pm. All evening I've been lying here like grrr house y u no pretty but I've decided to stop feeling sorry for myself & gather some ideas together. I was hoping to get the living room walls painted today so that when the sofa does arrive, in 4 days time hopefully, the room is ready. Maybe tomorrow will be a better DIY day, I'm hoping so anyway!

When I ordered the sofa I was torn between choosing a turquoise blue armchair or sticking with the same colour as the sofa. In the end I went with the same because I'm forever getting bored & thought it would be better to stick with a grey sofa that I can add cushions & throws to, they're easy to switch around & I can inject different colours whenever I feel like it! I'm drawn to all the turquoise & mint colours at the mo, so I definitely want to get some cushions in those kinda shades but apart from that I'm not gonna stick to a colour scheme really. We are also hoping to add another little Pug to our family in the next few months so I'm gonna start stocking up on throws now to make sure I'm able to protect our new sofas from puppy pee & tiny teefs!

We have the Eames Style chairs for our dining table & we have a lot of space to fill so I think the rocking chair version would sit in one of the corners nicely. I'd add a big cushion to finish it off & make it my little reading corner. I'm also on the look out for artwork I can place in the living/dining area. I'm obsessed with the Ice Lolly Watercolour print I found over on Etsy & I just know it will look perfect in the kitchen, I've also found a Totoro print I'm buying for my dressing room/blogging room/beauty room. I want the house to be full of fun things to look at & I love the idea of getting artwork that's a bit different! I've got some small cacti dotted around the place too (as does every other blogger & their dog!) & I want to add some more greenery, nothing too wild just a few simple house plants here & there. I always have fresh flowers around so a couple of plants will tie things together, I just need some pretty plant pots instead of those ugly plastic terracotta ones most plants come in!

Wednesday Wishlist #30

one | two | three | four | five | six | seven | eight

As it's just been payday for me & now I'm not having to save as much each month for our house deposit I look forward to being able to treat myself properly! I've already treated myself to a haircut and neck, shoulder & back massage as pampering myself has gone by the by recently so I'm making more of a conscious effort to take time out, whether thats giving myself 30 minutes to paint my nails or book a treatment at a salon. I did have a rather big splurge last month, I finally bought myself a Kitchenmaid Artisan Mixer, it's technically a house purchase though so it was allowed ;) I've given it a whirl & I'm in love with it, if it's possible to be in love with a kichen appliance anyway... but it's now packed up safely in it's box waiting for our big move in a month or so's time!

I feel like my next big purchase is going to be a bag of some sort, I'm leaning towards a Whistles or Kate Spade one at the moment but I'm still quite undecided so for now I'll keep dreaming until I'm ready to commit! I'll settle with a Kate Spade notebook though, the 'Eat Cake for Breakfast' is literally perfect for me, I'm forever eating cake/chocolate in the morning, oops! Seriously though how dreamy is Kate Spade stationery!? *all of the heart eyed emojis*

Pineapples seem to be the current 'thing' everyone is obsessed with, I have no idea whats so enticing about them but I seem to be drawn to everything with a Pineapple print on! I even purchased ice cube trays in the shape of Pineapples the other day! The brightly coloured PJ set is so cute, wearing short pyjamas in Summer is a must for me & the frill crop top is really sweet. They also scream Summer Holiday to me, if only I had one booked ):

Beauty wise I'm after a new eyebrow product & I've been recommended the Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade, the only problem I have is I don't know what shade to opt for? If anyone has any advice when it comes to choosing a shade please let me know! My friend Abi recently purchased the new Nars All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation & has been raving about it which is really tempting me to get it.

Homeware Wishlist

one | two | three | four | five | six | seven

We should be moving within the next 6-8 weeks if all goes to plan & up until now I've been quite reserved when it comes to buying things for our new home. It feels like an absolute lifetime ago since we began our house hunt so now that we have actually found one it doesn't seem real! A huge homeware splurge is bound to happen any time soon... I'm dying to click the checkout button on the Oliver Bonas website, but I keep thinking I should be saving & not spending! I've been buying little bits & pieces for months but now I need to start getting serious & become a bit more organised. Of course we will need the boring but necessary purchases like a washing machine & fridge but I'm just gonna ignore those for as long as possible & buy the fun things instead! I'm going for a neutral colour scheme when it comes to decor, white & grey being the main wall colours. The house has original wooden floorboards downstairs & we are also going to pull up the carpet in one of the bedrooms (hello white wooden floorboards... living the Pinterest dream!!) so I need to inject some colour with the accessories. I'm mostly going along with this new 'blogger trend' of being obsessed with copper but I also love mint green & baby pink too!

Lurex Crop Top - £22.00
Flower Printed Shorts - £34.00
MINE Leather Buckled Ankle Boots - £80.00
Whistles Black Irvington Stingray Clutch - £85.00

I've been meaning to treat myself to some new wardrobe staples recently, however with Christmas round the corner I thought it would be fun to put together a wishlist of some items I really love. I always find things, forget about them, then kick myself a few weeks later when I go to buy them & see they've sold out, anyone else do that!? I had to include something Pug related, this festive pug t-shirt is adorable! & I also had to include something really extravagant, a Mulberry Purse. It would be a dream to own a Mulberry purse, I chose the sparkly gold version for this to keep with the festive theme but in reality I'd probably opt for a black or brown one.

wednesday wishlist #14

one | two | three | four | five | six | seven | eight
I need some more basic everyday tops in my life, & since I love stripey tees atm this red one is ideal! I love all things Emma Bridgewater, but especially the pink hearts print, so pricey for a mug but so so pretty!! I want to get Tilly pug a new bed as she's almost outgrown her puppy one now & could do with a nice new one, obviously it has to be a cute & girly Cath Kidston one! I keep seeing reviews of the Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade & now I really want to try it, I'm always trying to find the perfect brow product. I really, really, really need this NARSissist blush palette, it's perfect because the highlighter looks super pretty, orgasm blusher is my favourite shade of blush to wear & laguna bronzer is a product I've been meaning to try for ageeees, I think I need to pre-order it! It's such a dreamy product *insert heart eyed emoji* I've been obsessed with owning a pair Minnetonka Moccasins for too long now, I don't know why I love them so much, I think because they look like they'll be really comfy & I won't have to go through the horrible ankle pains that I suffer with whenever I wear new shoes... worst thing ever. I love Topshop lipsticks a whole lot so it's only necessary that I try something else from their lip product range, right!? I've just sold my Zara city bag & now I need a smaller replacement, this black satchel from ASOS is lovely, the scallop detailing is a nice little touch.

christmas wishlist | beauty

one | two | three | four | five | six | seven | eight | nine | ten | eleven | twelve

I know everyone seems to be saying this but I honestly can't believe it's Christmas Day in a week, time has literally just disappeared! This post was meant to go up at the weekend but because I was travelling up North & had no spare time after celebrating my Nana's 70th Birthday it never happened! Here is my dream selection of beauty goodies that I'd love to receive, I know I'm receiving a few of these already (Dom can't keep secrets!) but I'll be able to pick up the other bits & pieces after Christmas for my Birthday! I recently got the Naked palette which I am in love with & I'm trying to justify the Naked 3 palette, do I really need another nude eyeshadow set? It is super pretty looking though... Let me know if you have it!

What is on your Christmas wishlist this year!?

christmas wish list | fashion

one | two | three | four | five | six | seven | eight | nine

If I had a tonne of money to spend on myself at Christmas these items would all be making their way into my life. I wanted a denim jacket way back in summer but never got round to hunting one down, now it's absolutely frrrrreezing this Topshop one with the shearling is perfect to keep warm in if I'm just nipping out. How cute is this Marc Jacobs Boston Terrier watch, if only it was a pug! Liberty is one of my favourite places to go in London, it's so lovely to look around & they have such pretty prints, the Barbour jacket lined with a rose print is amazing, I need a more practical dog walking coat because all of mine are fluffy or furry & get filthy when I take Tilly through the fields on little adventures! I actually can't get over how adorable the Cath Kidston santa jumper & the Topshop gingerbread jumpers are, I really want them but they are such silly prices for a jumper I could only wear in December! I know this is a 'Fashion' wishlist so pj's aren't really in that category but I love being cosy & comfy during Christmastime, Bambi was one of my favourite films as a little girl & even though these aren't exactly gonna keep me warm they'll look mega cute with my Primark fluffy teddy bear dressing gown!

p.s sorry for doing two Christmas themed posts in a row, I did have an outfit post planned but the photos are really awful & not how I wanted them so I'm unsure if I will post them ):

What is on your Christmas wishlist this year?

wishlist #1

one: glitter jelly sandals - these are the cutest things ever, I had a few pairs when I was younger! I NEED them!
two: Cath Kidston cosmetic bag - I am in desperate need of a new makeup bag, my poor hello kitty one is completely trashed, it's torn and really worn out :(, this looks as though it would be a good size and is easy to keep free from makeup stains as it is made from wipe-clean oilcloth!
three: Topshop adrenalin nail varnish - This needs to belong to my pathetic nail varnish collection, I only have a couple of glitters, models own juicy jules & the OPI rainbow carnival dupe by technic, putting glitters over a neutral varnish is my favourite at the moment.
four: lilac knitted jumper - This is such a pretty colour, I think it is perfect for this time of year, as the weather is so unpredictable! I do already have a jumper like this in a cream colour that I picked up from primark and I'm lucky enough to have a nana who can knit, so she is currently knitting me a black version! jumpers are probably my favourite piece of clothing, so easy to throw over a little dress!
five: pony earrings - I rarely wear earrings, due to laziness probably and also I find them so uncomfortable to sleep in so I forget to put them back in!

When I first created this blog, I did intend on posting regularly, but settling into university life & also living in London kinda got in the way! I really enjoy reading other people's blogs though so now I have some time I'm excited to start blogging properly :)
Also, this was meant to post weeks ago, I have no idea what happened! & for some reason, my image has lost all its quality, so sorry, when I figure out what I'm doing I'll re-upload!
