tartan blazer & skinny jeans

Tartan Blazer - Beyond Retro
Grey Top - Monki
Bag - Zara
 Glasses - Firmoo*

Today Dom & I went for a walk in the sunshine, I had a few bills to pay & then we decided to go to Costa for a late lunch. It was so so so nice to finally have a day with sunshine & be able to leave the house without a scarf & thick coat! This is the first time I've worn this blazer since mentioning I bought it in this post. I love it but I'm one of those people that gets nervous to wear something, which is really silly! I'm glad I wore it today though, it was ideal because it was slightly windy so it kept me warm when necessary (: I think it makes quite a simple outfit stand out a bit! My glasses are real glasses btw, not just posey fake ones, I am actually a little blind, wah... not actually blind blind but I struggle to see things far away! Not much else to say about this outfit really, apart from the fact my Zara bag is the bestest bag I've ever owned. It's not one of those annoyingly small bags that you can't fit anything in but it's not ridiculous & oversized (although oversized bags are faaaaab) so I don't end up carrying around loads of unnecessary junk! I'm going to do an updated whats in my bag post soon I think!

How did you spend your day? I hope you've all enjoyed the lovely sunshine!

As I've not been very thorough with my blogging over the past few months I thought I would pick a few of my favourite Instagram snaps and compile this post as a little update as I have a little Instagram series on my blog anyway! I like to document the little things in life, as they're easily forgotten about & I know I will be so glad I've done this in years to come when I decide I want to reminisce.

Today has been such an exciting day as Dom found out he has got a job for when he graduates, meaning he will be moving ALOT closer to London!! This will make my life so so SO much easier, as long distance relationships are pretty horrible & travelling time will be reduced from over 4 hours on a coach to around 1 hour on a train! I'm so proud of him he's done incredibly well throughout his degree & finally his hard work has paid off (: we celebrated by going out for lunch & having a little walk around London whilst the sun was out.

I'm still in revision mode really, my first exam is only 10 days away & I'm so so unprepared right now. I'm going to try blog every few days though when I need a break from my studies... however I'm basically the queen of procrastination, honestly I'd be achieving a first if I studied procrastination haha! Anywaaaaay hope you all have a lovely weekend (:

little things i've bought recently

Nivea Express Hydration Primer Dry/Sensitive (£4.99) - I'd seen this product featured on YouTube adverts quite a lot and I don't really use a primer so thought I'd try this as it's a combination of both a moisturiser and primer!

Bourjois Magic Nail Polish Remover (£4.99) - This nail polish remover has been featured a huge amount in the beauty blogging world over the past few months and I'd been dying to see what the fuss was about. As it was included in Boots 3 for 2 I was persuaded to buy it & I'm kinda glad I did! I'll put a full review up soon.

L'Oreal Top Coat 'Confetti' (£4.99) - After seeing the Illamasqua speckled nail polish I really wanted to recreate a similar effect but without the ridiculous price tag. This was under five pounds & I can have speckled nails in any colour I wish! I haven't stopped wearing this over the top of various pretty pastel shades since I bought it!

Real Techniques Setting Brush (£8.99) - Another RT brush to add to my collection, justified by the excuse "I need a brush to apply my MAC mineralize skin finish with!" I'm probably also going to use this to powder my face but it's the perfect size to highlight with.

Maybelline Falsies Mascara (7.99) - I don't tend to try many different mascaras, I just stick to what is cheap, usually Rimmel, because my eyelashes don't need much help with volume or length really. I'm not actually sure why I bought this in the end but I'm sure it'll be great, I know Tanya Burr swears by it anyway!

L'Oreal Superliner Perfect Slim 'Black Intense' (£6.99) - The L'Oreal Superliners are my favourite liquid eye liners, they're easy peasy to use, really black rather than that annoying 'faded' black shade and they don't flake.

Topshop Lip Liner 'Deception' (£5.00 or £4.50 with student discount!) - My all time favourite lipstick is Topshops Beguiled and Deception is very similar in colour. It will be perfect to help it last even longer, especially for nights out.

Rimmel Scandal Eyes Shadow Stick '008 Blackmail' (£5.99) - I hadn't really heard about these shadow sticks before until I spotted them in the Rimmel counter. I was going to pick another colour but fear that it wouldn't suit me got the better of me & I stuck to trusty black. I've actually been using this more like a kohl eyeliner, it's super super pigmented but also really soft & creamy meaning application is gentle. I really like the idea of these, I might pick up the bronzey coloured one next!

River Island Gold Heart Thumb Ring (£2) - I had this on a wishlist post a while ago, it's the tiniest, cutest ring ever, I love it!

Have you tried any of these products!? Let me know in the comments! (:

guess who?

So I haven't blogged in what feels like, forever. When really it has only be around 6 weeks, but life has literally whizzed by & here I am wondering where on earth that time went...

Taking a blogging "break" wasn't exactly planned, it just sort of happened without me even realising to be honest. University has been crazy with deadlines & yes, I'm only a second year but my course is pretty intense so I had to try my best & focus because I kept feeling way out of my depth. I was practically drowning in lecture notes and coursework! It's almost the end of term now, with most major deadlines done & dusted I feel like I can get back on track with my little blog. I'm not really sure where I want to take my blog anymore, I'm going to go with the flow & see what happens! I can't promise I will be posting regularly as I'm about to start proper revision for my exams but I feel like I will manage a few every now & again. I don't want my blog to become one of those blogs that churns out a load of posts just for the sake of it, I could quite easily bombard you all with makeup & beauty reviews but I won't be doing. I want my blog to become more of a document of my life, with more personal posts and almost definitely more outfit posts. Lets see what happens...

It felt good to write this little post though, I've really missed writing, even if it is just simple little blog posts! I haven't even managed to keep up with all my favourite blogs much so I'm about to spend a few hours reading with a big cup of tea, leave me any posts in the comments below if you want me to have a look!

Oh & finally! I heard that GFC might be disappearing soon so there has been lots of movement towards bloglovin', if you wouldn't mind following my blog on there I would be so happy... click here (:
