1. What is your favourite thing about Christmas?

Christmas is my favourite time of the year, I love everything about it. The festive atmosphere created by the twinkling lights, mince pies, advent calendars, frosty mornings, busy crowds shopping for gifts, Christmas films, seeing people appreciate & love the presents you've bought them, I could go on & on, it is honestly the most wonderful time of the year...

2. What is your favourite makeup look for the festive season?

I've been wearing my Topshop Beguiled lipstick non stop recently, it's a perfect wine colour & fits in with the seasonal shades. I'll be wearing it a lot more over Christmas & New Year, along with smokey eye makeup!

3. Real or fake tree?

Real trees are my favourite, but we have fake ones as it's cheaper in the long run & tidier because they don't drop needles all over the floor! I think though when we get our own place we will have two trees, a fake one & a real one because the smell of a real tree is just so festive!

4. Giving or receiving presents?

100% giving presents! Picking out gifts I know people want/will love is something that really makes me happy. Also, wrapping them up all pretty with little bows is something I enjoy way too much! Of course I still love to receive presents too, but there is just something about giving that I will always prefer!

5. Do you open your presents in the morning or evening?

I'm almost 23 & still join in with the family tradition of the early morning excitement rush to get downstairs & see the beautiful display of presents my mum Father Christmas has left for us. Even though I am not a morning person I ALWAYS manage to get up on Christmas day, I think it's more special because I have younger brothers & sisters who still believe in all the magic of Christmas & to be honest, I don't really want to give up in believing just yet either... 

6. Handmade or bought Christmas cards?

Every year I say I will have a go at making my own Christmas & each year I have failed to do so! I really miss being creative but I never seem to have time anymore ): I've bought some cute little cards for friends & then I always buy special individual ones for my Mum, Dad Nana & Grandad, etc & Dom!

7. What is your favourite Christmas film?

Oh my god I have so many! Christmas films are the only kind of film I can watch multiple times without getting bored! A few of my favourites are Elf, Miracle on 34th Street, Home Alone, The Greatest Store in The World, Four Christmases, Jingle All The Way, The Santa Clause. I think Elf is my absolute favourite though, SANTA... I KNOW HIM!

8. What is your favourite Christmas food?

Mince pies, Turkey with Cranberry jelly, Sausage meat stuffing, Pigs in blankets and my Nana always has so much buffet food which is the best!

9. Favourite Christmas gift?

When I was about six I came downstairs on Christmas morning to a little note telling us (my Sister & I) to follow the red ribbon into the Kitchen. My Mum & Dad had bought us one of those electronic Jeeps for Christmas & because it was obviously way too big to wrap they had hidden it to surprise us! I'll never forget that moment when we opened the kitchen door & saw the Jeep with a big red bow on it!

10. What tops your tree?

Growing up it was always an angel & one year it was one that I had made at School. Now I have my own decorations we have a cream star that has heart cut outs, so pretty (:

What was the inspiration behind starting your blog?

One day I stumbled across llymlrs blog & Zoella's YouTube videos which then lead me to discover the beauty blogging world where I found loads of bloggers &amazing beauty gurus on YouTube. I decided I wanted to get involved & write my own blog as I already had a passion for makeup & fashion! My friend Abi & I decided to start blogging pretty much the same time & I have to say she was also an inspiration because she encouraged me to start a blog too! 

What Inspires you to take your blog further?

My followers inspire me to take my blog further. Each day I receive lovely comments on my posts & have Twitter conversations with people who tell me they enjoy my blog, it's so motivating to know people like my content & I really appreciate my readers! 

Who / what are you inspired by?

I'm literally inspired by so many things when it comes to blogging that my mind goes into overdrive sometimes & I have to jot down things on my phone or into a notebook whilst the thought is still with me! I join in with as many of the Twitter chats which are also a great source of inspiration when I want to know what kind of posts people enjoy the most etc. Of course there is also endless inspiration on Pinterest, I've seen lots of DIY ideas I want to have a go at & hopefully share on my blog! I'm also really inspired by lots of the blogs I read, a few favourites of mine are: Fleur De Force, milkteef, etcllymlrs, milkbubbletea, Ellie's Favourite Things, PaintPotted, describe the sky

Out of your blog goals, what have you achieved so far?

I never really set any blog goals in particular apart from to create content people enjoy. I blog because I love it, it's my little hobby & anything I gain from it is a bonus! Although one thing I do have to say is I never expected to gain so many followers so that is definitely something great that my blog has achieved!

What does the future hold for your blog plans?

My future plans are to carry on blogging & interact more with my followers. I want to know what they love about my blog the most so I can ensure that I keep them interested. I'd also like to get more involved with other bloggers, perhaps by having some guest posts on my blog or attending blogger meetups. I'm trying to build up my confidence & get over being awkward around new people so I'm sure going to a meetup would help!

What is your ultimate goal for your blog?

The absolute ultimate goal would be for my blog to be noticed by my all time favourite bloggers & YouTubers, especially considering I started my blog all thanks to them! Also it would be an absolute dream come true if my blog & I ever got featured in a magazine!

Who are your most influential bloggers?

Who are the ones that you really rely on for reviews & swatches?

I find myself regularly checking both of Lily's blogs (llymlrs & etcllymlrs), her style is one of my favourites but I also love her beauty blog, I find it really easy to read. A few other favourite bloggers are Fleur De Force, Milkteef, Vivianna Does Makeup, Ghostparties & . They are all blogs that I will go to if I'm looking for a review of a particular product as I know they will have probably featured it! 

Do you buy a product solely as a result from one review from your favourite bloggers, or do you look for more reviews from others?

I tend to look through quite a few blogs each day & if I see the same product appearing more than a few times I am intrigued to find out more which leads me to my nearest Boots/Beauty department to test them out for myself.

What is your most favourite item that you have ever bought as a consequence of blogs?

This is such a tough question because I have so many items I love thanks to blogger influence. Probably my most favourite item is my MAC 217 blending brush or my Real Techniques brushes. Applying my makeup with these brushes each day makes me so happy, I'm very easily pleased ha!

Name five products that you have bought recently as a result of blogs.

I hardly ever buy products unless I've seen them on a blog or in a YouTube video to be honest! I'm so easily influenced I almost always give into the blogger hype!

20 random facts about me

 (I really need to cut my fringe!)

1. I have quite a big family, I'm one of five children & I'm the eldest!

2. I'm a bit of a fussy eater, I love spaghetti hoops but I can't eat normal spaghetti... different food textures scare me. Over the past few years I've become more willing to try new things though.

3. My little sister lives in Chelsea & one day we joked about going to stalk celebs, only to see Millie Mackintosh walking along Kings Road! I completely freaked out & was a little star struck... much to the embarrassment of my sister, ooops!

4. I got all my housemates addicted to painting their nails & we currently have a nail polish stash in our kitchen.

5. I am completely obsessed with pugs, I spend hours watching YouTube videos or researching about them online, I don't know what it is but I just love love love them. Dom & I have agreed to get one as soon as we move in together, this is possibly the greatest plan EVER!

6. I absolutely LOVE living in London, I think I am incredibly lucky to have the opportunity to study & live here. I struggled at the start but now I can't picture myself being anywhere else! I'm also the only person I know who likes travelling on the tube!

7. Risotto is probably my favorite meal ever, I'm forever cooking it, it's just tooo gooood.

8. I'm pretty much glued to my phone. I'm one of those annoying people who couldn't live without their iPhone!

9. I fall asleep as soon as my head hits the pillow, although I was the complete opposite & used to struggle to sleep when I was younger.

10. I worked on a Deli Counter & have way too much cheese knowledge for somebody my age...

11. I don't like studying in my bedroom or at home in general, I much prefer to be a library geek.

12. I'm always cold, I really struggle to keep warm!

13. 13 is my lucky number, although most people believe it's unlucky!

14. I've been with Dom for five years in August. We met when we were only 16 & became best friends. I truly believe that the most important thing to maintain a relationship is to have your own life as well as a life together.

15. If I eat something with a spoon it has to be a "baby" spoon. I can't eat with tablespoons it has to be a teaspoon, I just physically can't eat from a bigger spoon it makes me feel sick. I'm odd I know.

16. I can't gain weight. I've literally been stuck at the same weight for years now & everything I've tried just doesn't work for me.

17. I always wear flicked black eyeliner, I'm so used to doing it now if I don't put it on I feel weird!

18. I wish I had continued to learn German & studied it at A-level! Good job two of my housemates are doing German degrees!

19. I had the worst temper when I was a teenager, I think I tried to be a rebel. Thank god I've grown out of that stage haha

20. I'm probably the palest person you'll ever meet. I don't plan on fake tanning anytime soon either, I hate the idea!

i heart fall tag

1. Favourite Fall lip product?

I've been wearing Topshop 'Inhibition' alot recently, I blogged about it a while ago! I think it's a great colour for Autumn, although I would like to purchase 'Beguiled' next.


2. Favourite Fall Nail Polish?

I don't have any Autumnal polishes really, but I've been wearing the Models Own Mirrorball collection alot, it looks so pretty over black... almost like fireworks, perfect for bonfire night!

3. Favourite Starbucks Fall Drink?

I usually buy a standard tea or a latte, as I'm not very daring when it comes to trying new things but the gingerbread latte sounds delicious!


4. Favourite Fall Candle?


At the moment I've been lighting a few little tea lights as it makes my room feel so cozy, I haven't got a specific candle that could be related to Autumn at the moment though really. My favourite Christmas candle is the Yankee Christmas Cookie candle I can't wait to pick one up again this year when my Vanilla Cupcake runs out!

5. Favourite Fall Scarf or accessory.

I have a chunky knit cream scarf which is lovely but I much prefer bobble hats & have got a small collection! My favourite is probably my burgundy one from Primark, in this outfit post!


6. Haunted house, haunted hay ride, or haunted corn maze?


I've only ever been in a haunted house & that was years ago!

7. Favourite Halloween movie?

I'm a massive scaredy cat when it comes to horror movies, but almost every Halloween I end up watching the movie 'Halloween', I have to say I don't jump as much anymore as I've watched it so many times!


8. Favourite candy to eat on Halloween?

I used to love toffee apples when I was younger (:


9. What are you dressing up as for Halloween?!


My housemates & I are unsure if we are going out this year, if we do I'll probably do this tutorial by Tanya Burr & rip up some old clothes! Easy peasy! Every year I say I'll be more creative with my costumes, but it never happens!

10. What is your Favourite thing about Fall?

100% the build up to Christmas! I am SO SO SO excited already, I've started my Christmas shopping, made my Christmas wishlist & even thought about writing Christmas cards... I also love being snuggled up in my warm bed with a mug of hot tea whilst it's freezing cold outside! & finally, crunchy colourful leaves!

how much is your face worth?

I've seen a few bloggers doing this tag & thought I'd join in as I'm curious to know how much my makeup products are worth! Most of my makeup is drugstore, as I'm a poor student *sadface* so I'm not expecting the total to be huge, but lets see...

whats in my bag

I've seen quite a lot of people do these kind of posts and I always like them because I'm a nosey person! Sorry the second image is so shadowy, the lighting was being naughty so I gave up in the end and this was the best I had.

I didn't include a picture of my makeup bag because it's a complete mess, it was easier just to show a few of my nice makeup items. I also couldn't get a decent picture of my bag, but I'm currently using the Alexander Wang dupe, black with gold studs on the bottom, which was from eBay. I always have my Moleskine diary and pencil case too, but they featured in a post a few days ago so I thought it was pointless. I also have a lot of junk in my bag that wasn't photo worthy!!
