LUSH Shiny Happy People Gift Set

UK Beauty blogger, Liverpool Beauty Blogger, LUSH Shiny Happy People Gift Set, Lush blogger review,
As a huge LUSH fan I was really excited to receive the Shiny Happy People gift set on my birthday, especially because it contained 3 products I'd never tried before! In fact this was the first LUSH gift set I'd ever received so it was a pretty exciting moment for me!

The box is wrapped up in yellow smiley face paper and contains three products, Refresher Shower Jelly, Layer Cake Soap & Beautiful Shower Gel. I've tried the LUSH Shower Jelly's before, although they can be awkward to use I do love the novelty of them! The refresher one has a zesty, zingy lemon fragrance, it's definitely one to use in the morning when you're still half asleep thats for sure! On the Lush website it says you can pop it into the fridge or freezer for an extra refreshing feeling, I might give it a go in the Summer, right now my house is like an igloo though so I won't be rushing to freeze it just yet!

Layer Cake soap is made of five fruity layers, however the piece in my box only has two of the layers which I'm a bit disappointed with. On the website it shows the rainbow layered soap which looks amazing but my block is just two layers, purple & red. Each layer represents a different fruity fragrance & contains fresh fruit juices which smell so good! I'm a fruity over floral kinda person usually so I really enjoy using this soap! It lathers up lovely too & leaves my hands feeling squeaky clean.

Beautiful Shower Gel is another fruit fragranced product & one that I didn't know existed until now either, so it's was nice to see something new! It's a peach scented shower gel which is absolutely heavenly, peach fragrances are one of my favourites as they're still really fresh & fruity but a bit different from your usual fruity product! One thing I love about Lush shower gels is the fact you only need a small amount to get a huge amount of lather & fragrance. Even the small bottles seem to last me forever because you just don't need to use a lot at all!

I was always a bit wary about LUSH gifts because I like to be able to pick out my faves but getting this gift has really opened my eyes to the amazing selection of sets available! They're all so beautifully wrapped too, it's worth the extra £££'s!

Have you received a LUSH Gift before? Let me know if you have a favourite!

An & Other Stories Duo

UK Beauty Blogger, Liverpool Beauty Blogger, & Other Stories, & Other Stories Fig Fiction,
A trip to London isn't complete without a visit to & Other Stories, a store that is located amidst the hustle & bustle of Regent St. After having a quick nosy at their website I have just learnt that there are in fact 2 other stores, still both down in London though... boo!

Whenever I visit & Other Stories it's mostly for the beauty department, the bath & body section is so dreamy I wish I could have the whole range sitting in my bathroom cupboard. The last time I visited the store I decided to buy our new home a gift, a matching hand wash & lotion, so that when we have guests round we have a nice duo for them to use. I chose the fragrance Belleville Bakery, a warm vanilla scent with a citrusy vibe, believe me when I say it's divine! Annoyingly though it has now gone in the sale which I am devastated about because I was hoping to purchase more of it when I visit ldn in Feb! I love washing my hands with this stuff though because the scent hangs onto my skin so I can smell it for ages afterwards & the hand lotion is so lovely, it's silky soft & gives my hands the nourishment they really need at the mo.

Have you tried anything from & Other Stories? Let me know if there is anything you recommend!

Valentines Gift Ideas from ToxicFox

With Valentines Day just around the corner I thought I'd share some gifts that were kindly picked out for me from ToxicFox.co.uk. The first gift I received was the Bomb Cosmetics Strawberry Patch Bath Bomb Gift Box* which I personally think is the cutest gift ever! Wrapped up in a Strawberry printed paper, the candy colour scheme & the red bow tied around the box compliment the bath treats hiding inside. It's filled with a mini pastel bath bomb, a big bath blaster, a floral bath buttercup and a cupcake shaped bath mallow adorned with a Strawberry, plus a slice of soap. The Strawberry scent isn't too sickly or overpowering either, it's just the right amount of fruity sweetness with a a likeness to Strawberries & Cream. It's a perfect gift for me as I'm obsessed with pretty bath related products, as most of us bloggers seem to be!

The second gift was a Selfie Stick, (a pink one!) which seemed to be the most popular Christmas gift of 2014 according to my Social Media feeds over the festive period! It also seems that you either love them or hate them & I'm actually really pleased I've been able to try one out because we took it over to our friends house at the weekend & managed to get a few group shots of us & our puppies which would never have happened without it! They're a bit of a fun & provide the perfect opportunity to snap selfies whenever & wherever, I can't wait to take it to Paris & get a selfie with the Eiffel Tower haha!

If you're a bit last minute like me & are still trying to find a Valentine's gift then ToxicFox might just be able to help you out! The Valentine's gift section contains lots of different categories to help you pick out the right gift, my favourite being the romantic section! They're offering 10% all orders with the code 'TFLOVE' & if you place an order today it should arrive by Thursday!

lush christmas wishlist

one | two | three | four | five | six | seven | eight

Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year... I'm one of those people that gets ridiculously excited seeing all the Christmas products hit the shops, even in August when the first few bits make an appearance I love it! One of my favourite Christmas releases has got to be the Lush Christmas range & I've been eagerly awaiting for their website to be updated with the products after seeing Zoe's post the other week! Without fail I always buy myself a couple of bottles of the Snow Fairy Shower gel, it's a super sweet scent but I'm addicted to it & can't wait to have it back in my life already! One of the new products for 2014 is the Butterbear Bath Bomb, how cute is this little teddy shaped bath treat! I'm drawn to it even more so because Cocoa butter is it's main ingredient & it has the same vanilla scent as the Butterball Bath Bomb, another fave of mine! I'm looking forward to soaking up the festive goodness & picking out a few treats to try, theres lots of new products this year & as always I'm attracted to the adorable animal ones. Last year my favourite Christmas product was the Christmas Penguin Bubble Bar, I didn't realise these were supposed to be crumbled under a running tap at first & ended up wasting a whole penguin by chucking it in the bath! After a google search to find out why there was a serious lack of bubbles from my "bubble bar" I learnt the proper way to use it & wasn't disappointed with the mountain of bubbles that appeared in my bath the next time I used one!  The Christmas range is available to buy in store from tomorrow & if I wasn't working all day I'd be heading straight over to my local one! No doubt there will be a Lush haul appearing over on here soon, or perhaps even over on my YouTube channel!? (Go subscribe if you're feeling kind & keep an eye out for a video coming soon...!)

Will you be picking up any of the Lush Christmas products?!

soap & glory smoothie star breakfast scrub

Soap & Glory Smoothie Star Breakfast Scrub - £8.00
When it comes to shower/bath/pamper products Soap & Glory are always my number one choice. I love everything about S&G products, from the cutesy packaging to the range of delicious scents. The Smoothie Star range is my absolute favourite though, the smell of these products is delicious, I literally want to eat the stuff it smells so good! Filled with oats, sugar, banana, almond & honey it creates a breakfasty porridge/maple syrup fragrance that I can't resist, I often just sit with the tub in my hand unscrewing the lid every few seconds to enjoy the smell haha!

I take a scoop of the scrub & rub it in my hands before applying it to my damp skin in circular motions. The golden sugar scrub particles & the gentle oatmeal grains exfoliate my skin without being harsh at all. What I really like is that the scrub doesn't feel overly gritty, the grains are small but the right size to have a good scrub with. It also doesn't get messy like some scrubs I've used where I end up dropping blobs of it all over the bathtub, this formula seems to stick together well which means I waste less product too! Now that the weather is perking up a little I've been baring my legs more when wearing dresses/skirts so I've been trying to improve the condition of my skin as it can quite be dry & flakey. The Breakfast Scrub is definitely helping to make my legs appear smooth & they feel a lot softer. Afterwards I use the Smoothie Star Deep Moisture Body Milk which has a really similar scent, although slightly more of a cocoa butter smell rather than a breakfast pancake kinda smell it's still super yummy & I love how the scent lingers all day! I read on the Boots website that the Breakfast Scrub could be used as a lip scrub too, however I just tried this & although my lips do feel smoother, the taste is so so strange!

I always look forward to exfoliating now because it's one of those scrubs you can see the results with, plus I get to enjoy the smell & it really pleases me that the scrub doesn't drop everywhere, it's hardly any hassle at all to exfoliate now! I know that I will be using this loads over Summer & I'm going to invest in a few more Smoothie Star treats whilst Boots have their 3 for 2 offer on!

Have you tried anything from the Smoothie Star range?
What is your favourite Soap & Glory product?
