wednesday wishlist #11

UK lifestyle blogger UK beauty blogger review swatch wishlist
one | two | three | four | five | six

I guess this wishlist looks kinda summery with the pastel colours, floral crown & sweet honey scented perfume but I'm still in summer mode as it's currently 30+ degrees in Turkey! I'm definitely gonna freeze to death when I land back in the UK tomorrow morning...
I can't resist the baby pink Ted Baker French Bulldog cosmetic bag after seeing it on Becky's blog & also my friend Abi's, it would be a million times better if it had pugs on it though ;) having said that I've just fallen in love with a blue frenchie puppy so perhaps I'd be best investing in this rather than the real thing! I struggle with getting a proper nights sleep at the moment, with my mind being filled with anxiety & panic I can't seem to relax & never feel refreshed in the morning so I'd like to give the pillow spray a try to see if it helps me. Crown & Glory headbands seem like a blogger staple currently & with lots of pretty designs & colours available I can see why! The Real Techniques Duo-Fiber collection have been pointed out to Dom every time I'm in Boots with him, the smaller brush seems similar to the MAC 217 & I'd like a larger fluffy brush to apply bronzer with. I don't own any clothes in cornflower blue & I'm trying to steer away from my comfort zone by adding more colours to my wardrobe. This angora jumper looks so cozy, I'd team it with some skinnies, chunky boots & a beanie hat when the temperature starts to drop... oh wait, it already has in the UK! Marc Jacob perfumes never fail to impress me & Honey is no exception, I absolutely love sweet, fruity fragrances & Honey is filled with delicious fruits such as Orange Blossom, Peach Nectar, Apricot, Pear & Mandarin along Honey, Golden Vanilla & Smooth Woods to create the floral fruity scent.

bourjois magic nail polish remover

UK lifestyle blogger UK beauty blogger review swatch bourjois magic nail polish remover

Another product that has been sat in my "to blog about" pile for an unnecessary amount of time! I mentioned this magic little product in my April Favourites & have been meaning to blog a full review ever since! Bourjois launched their "1 second magic nail polish remover" just over a year ago now & the beauty blogging world has been flooded with posts ranting & raving about it ever since.

I love having my nails painted, often changing the colour every few days but I find the process of removing polish so tedious that I'd rather sit & pick it off when I'm bored, silly I know! When I saw reviews of this creeping up everywhere I wasn't really interested at first because of the price but a 3 for 2 across all beauty products at Boots a couple months back swayed me into picking it up. The bright pink pot holds a sponge soaked in a sweet red fruit & vanilla scented fragranced remover, unusual as they normally tend to have an overpowering smell! It also contains almond oil, great for nourishing cuticles. The 1 second statement is a slight exaggeration but all that is required is a few twists & voila you have clean nails. I'm actually amazed by its glitter polish removing powers, around 30 seconds & most of the glitter particles have disappeared! Awesome when you consider all the faff normally involved with removing sparkles! Another bonus is how travel friendly it is, especially for someone like me who is constantly up & down the country visiting people etc! I often do my nails on the train because there is so much time to kill & plenty of drying time so I can achieve unsmudged nails. I can pop this in my handbag without worrying about any spills occurring & can discreetly remove polish without looking like I'm trying to set up a mini nail bar whilst sat on a train with a pile of cotton wool & nail polish remover! A tiny downside is once you've used it to take off glitter polish, the specks start to make a reappearance all over your fingers when you use it again. Nothing to major that can't be fixed by washing your hands afterwards though.

Overall Bourjois Magic Nail Pot is a great all rounder for your nails with its removing polish & nourishing abilities! I've used it regularly, at least once a week for around 2 months & could probably continue using it for a while longer yet. The sponge isn't as saturated as it originally was but I suppose I could top it up myself with some standard nail polish remover, let me know if you've done this?

holiday photo diary #1

(the best carbonara ever, I always go to this restaurant whenever I'm visiting my dads!)
(Fethiye harbour where part of James Bond Skyfall was filmed)
(reading trashy books by the pool)
(trying to get a tan but failing miserably!!)
(How cute is Cara puppy!)
(nothing better than ice cold coke whilst sunbathing by the pool, LOOK AT THE TAN LINES ON MY TUMMY - this never happens!!)

(I swear this little guy is smiling!)
(Baby kitten in one of the shops, she was sick & had to be hand fed, wah)
(teeny tiny!)

I'm currently in Turkey visiting my Dad & little brother so I thought I'd share some of my favourite photos! (:
We are off to the beach tomorrow so no doubt I'll post another holiday diary soon!

3-2-1

You might have noticed the new Three Mobile advert on TV that features a pug wearing a knitted birthday cake hat to promote the launch of their 3-2-1 pay as you go tariff. As I have my own cute little pug I was asked to take part in the campaign & answer a few questions!

I don't really like picking favourite songs but I have a few that I could never get bored of, no matter how many times I have them on repeat!

Howlin' For You - The Black Keys
Well Limitless is probably one of my favourite films & this song makes me happy!

Get Lucky - Daft Punk
Anything by Daft Punk is good in my eyes, Get Lucky was such a summer tune but I know I will still be listening to it for months!

Say My Name - Cyril Hahn
An amazing remix of Say My Name by Destiny's Child, Cyril is incredible at creating music, go have a listen (:

This was really tough for me, as London is my favourite city ever & living there for 2 years gave me a lot of opportunities to explore & discover new places to go. To be honest I love London as a whole from walking along the Kings Road in Chelsea pretending I'm rich to searching through the rails in the east end vintage shops found on Brick Lane, fighting my way through the busy crowds on Oxford St or venturing around Camden Market, having picnics along the canal at Victoria park or enjoying the festivities going on at winter wonderland in Hyde Park, watching the entertainers perform in Covent Garden or avoiding pigeon poop at Trafalgar Square, watching the London Eye rotating at snail pace whilst standing by the River Thames or even popping by to wave to Liz at Buckingham Palace, it really is the best city in the world to me!

I know I cheated here & uploaded more than two London photos but I couldn't help myself! I will say though that currently somewhere I always recommend is Portobello Market on a Saturday. Portobello Road is lined with pastel coloured houses, vintage treasures, freshly baked pastries & cakes & beautiful bouquets of flowers, it's a lovely place to look around! Another of my favourite London locations is a night out in Shoreditch, you'll find plenty of trendy cocktail bars & clubs that play decent music (in my opinion!) without the hassle you can be exposed to at bigger night clubs in central!

& here is my baby Tilly pug (:
