Hello Kitty Tangle Teezer

UK Beauty Blogger, Liverpool Beauty Blogger, Hello Kitty Tangle Teezer, Tangle Teezer Review,
In my teens I was that girl obsessed with Hello Kitty, you name it & I most probably had the merchandise! As I'm sure you can imagine I was estatic when I was invited to the Hello Kitty x Tangle Teezer launch, being given the opportunity to have afternoon tea with Hello Kitty was like having all my teenage dreams granted at once.
The Hello Kitty collaboration comes in two colours, black & pink, both with an adorable polka dot print & of course the sweetest Hello Kitty design. I can't actually decide which is my favourite though, I'm a lover of all things girly & pink but also a big fan of monochrome too. The Tangle Teezer Compact Stylers are a handbag essential for me, the protective cover ensures the bristles don't get damaged so I can conveniently keep my hair knot free whilst on the go.
Since discovering Tangle Teezer I've never used another brush, with my hair being so thick & frizzy they make brushing my hair much easier & completely pain-free. I'm forever recommending them to people because they actually changed my life!
What do you think of the cutest Tangle Teezer collaboration yet?

Toni & Guy Wigmore Street Salon Review

UK Beauty Blogger, Liverpool Beauty Blogger, Toni & Guy Salon Review, Toni & Guy Wigmore Street Salon,
I was lucky enough to be invited to have my hair done at the Toni & Guy salon on Wigmore Street last month, I had been desperate to get my Ombre style covered up so it was the perfect treat for me. I go to London almost every week at the moment so I opted for a London based salon but Toni & Guy have salons all over the country, you can find out your nearest salon here. I've had my hair done at a Toni & Guy Salon in my hometown & had amazing experience there so I knew I'd have the same, if not better experience at the Wigmore Street branch.

I had my colour done by Siobhan, who had the prettiest shade of pink hair, it kinda made me wish I was brave enough to go for a fun hair colour! Siobhan chatted to me about my options as I didn't want to take my hair too dark but I still wanted to ensure the bleached ends of my hair would be covered. Siobhan helped me to pick out a warm, brown shade that would suit my complexion & conceal the brassy blonde Ombre I had going on.

My haircut was done by Hayley, I had a pretty awful haircut a few months ago which had left me with very blunt layers which I absolutely hated so you can imagine the relief I felt when Hayley said she would be able to sort them for me. My layers are pretty longer but she blended them beautifully to sit a lot more naturally, rather than them looking choppy. I didn't want much else changing in terms of the cut, just a simple trim to tidy up the ends & freshen up my fringe. I love the way Hayley styled it too, with bouncy, soft waves to complete my new hairdo!

UK Beauty Blogger, Liverpool Beauty Blogger, Toni & Guy Salon Review, Toni & Guy Wigmore Street Salon,
As you can see from the above photos my dip-dyed hair is no more & instead I have my brunette barnet back, which I am over the moon about! I feel like it's made me look healthier & suits me much better than the yellow toned Ombre I had previously.

I couldn't recommend Toni & Guy more if I tried, its my absolute favourite Salon to go to if my hair is in some serious TLC. I can completely trust the Staff, they always listen so carefully to my requests & I leave the salon feeling 100% satisfied with my new hair. The Wigmore Street Salon is absolutely beautiful & was made to feel very welcome at all times by the lovely staff. I was provided with as much Coffee as I wanted, ice cold water & plenty of magazines to flick through whilst the hair dye was developing. I'm so thankful to the guys at Toni & Guy for arranging this hair appointment for me, it's made me fall in love with my hair again & I feel so much better about myself. It's amazing how much a bit of hair dye & cut can make you feel much more confident about yourself again. I've also been absolutely spoilt & treated to a selection of Label:m haircare products that Toni & Guy use in their salons, the Diamond Dust range is my favourite so far but I have a separate post planned to share them with you all soon.

Have you been to a Toni & Guy Salon?

Tangle Teezer Pug Love

Tangle Teezer Pug Love Compact Styler
Tangle Teezer have launched a brand new design 'Pug Love' to their Compact Styler range which I was lucky enough to be gifted when I attended their Puppy Party! I was able to take Tilly & Lulu down to London with me for Afternoon Tea at the Milestone Hotel & got to hang out with Tangle Teezers very own office Dog, Nala the Pug. Without a doubt it was my favourite event I've ever attended, Pugs, Tea, Cakes, the lovely PR girls from Tangle Teezer & Pets Pyjamas make the perfect combination for a party! I also had the absolute pleasure of meeting Becca & her handsome Pug Rupert, I've watched Becca on YouTube for years now so it was really nice to meet her & discuss the ridiculous amount of love we have for our little squishes!
I did a photoshoot with Tilly & Lulu to show off the new Pug Love teezer, Tilly being the best poser of the two! Lulu kept running off but Tilly will happily sit & pose for the camera as long as there is a treat in my hand... #BritainsNextTopPugModel
Tangle Teezer Pug Love, Tilly Lulu Pugs,
Tangle Teezer Pug Love, Tilly Lulu Pugs,
I first discovered Tangle Teezer when I started getting into haircare, I was so fed up of struggling to get a brush through my thick, frizzy hair that becoming a Tangle Teezer owner was one of the best beauty decisions I made. It felt like a miracle had happened to be able to brush through my knots with ease & not wince at the pain of brushing them out. I ended up telling my mum to buy one for my little sister, Leah, who suffered from a very sensitive scalp which made brushing her hair a nightmare. Whilst she is still head sore Tangle Teezer has been life changing by enabling her to brush her hair pain free! I've got two of The Original hairbrushes, a purple glitter one & the newest addition I received at Christmas from Dom, the Candyfloss one which is so pretty, but sadly both are unavailable now. Dom is forever stealing my Tangle Teezer & it seems I'm not the only one having it "borrowed", I didn't even know their was a Male version available until we were discussing how often our brushes go walkies. Now Dom is the proud owner of his very own Men's Compact Tangle Teezer Groomer I don't need to spend half my morning running around the house for my missing one!
Tangle Teezer Pug Love Compact Styler
The Pug Love design is available in the Compact Styler range, slightly smaller than The Original with a protective cover means it's the ultimate handbag accessory. The cute Pug faces wearing little pink bows are absolutely adorable and it's almost as if it has been made for me! I know this is going to be popular amongst Pug lovers, we all go crazy for anything with a Pug on & with this being so cute but also useful it'll be a big hit. In fact I've already convinced a few fellow Pug owners to buy themselves one & you should to! It's currently an online exclusive that you can buy here.
Tangle Teezer Pug Love, Tilly Lulu Pugs,

Will you be getting your paws on the Pug Love Compact Styler?

Haircare For Frizzy Hair

For as long as I can remember my hair has been the bane of my life, it's thick, it's frizzy & it can be really unmanageable. When I was about 14 I started straightening my hair religiously everyday, I had it thinned out so much I was practically bald at one point (no, not really but you get what I'm trying to say!) & I felt happy with how my hair looked. These days I'm trying to embrace my fuller head of hair without being so extreme with heat & using products to look after my locks instead of relying on a pair of straighteners as much! My hair took a real beating from straightening & began splitting really badly that I wore it in a bun most days for ages. I knew I needed to start looking after my hair properly which resulted in quite a strict haircare routine for a while until my hair was looking & feeling healthier! I've trialled & tested a huge amount of hair products so I thought I'd share a few favourites of mine...

MoroccanOil has been my most-used haircare product for the past 4 years, it's my go-to hair oil that I always apply after washing my hair. It gives my hair an extra boost of moisture, keeps it looking sleepy & shiny and although it is expensive luckily a bottle lasts me forever! It helps to keep split ends at bay too & has really made a huge difference to my hair in terms of managability & appearance too. (full review)

Before I got sucked into the world of beauty blogging I was oblivious to the idea of hair masks, so when I discovered that they existed I knew I needed to try some! Redken Smooth Lock Butter Silk is an intensive rinse-out treatment & is everything I could wish for in a hair product. It gives my hair a nourishing shine & a frizz-free finish, meaning my hair is incredibly easy to manage and style. Whenever I'm having a bad time with my hair I slather this on after shampooing & I'm left with the most silky feeling & nourished looking hair. (full review)

VO5 Give Me Moisture Hot Oil Treatment is one product that I see instant results with, which is why I'm pretty obsessed with these little bottles of oil! They're a bit of a unique product as I've never seen anything else like it before, using the warmth of the water in your shower you give it a few minutes to heat up before applying it all over your hair. At first it gives my hair a squeaky kind of feeling which I'm not a fan of but as soon as you shampoo it away it turns my hair so soft. There's no sign of grease or any oiliness after using it, instead my hair is given a new lease of life & restored to it's original state. It's been in my haircare routine for years now & won't be going anywhere anytime soon! (full review)

I love my Tangle Teezer, it makes brushing my hair a joy rather than a chore. I'm prone to knots & also get a little deadlock forming at the back of my neck sometimes, #thickhairproblems so having a hairbrush that gently detangles my hair rather than rip it out is a life saver. I always used to use a bog-standard brush but would often find it got stuck half way through brushing it. Of course now I use products tailored towards my hair type, I can use a regular hairbrush but I much prefer the Tangle Teezer, they're perfect for popping in your handbag too!

If I don't use my MoroccanOil I will use the Lee Stafford Frizz OFF Keratin Spray instead. It is similar to MoroccanOil as it helps to tackle dryness (mentioned in my June Favourites) & also keeps my hair smooth throughout the day. I love the smell of this too, it's really sweet & hangs around all day so I get whiffs off it every now & again.

What are your favourite haircare products?

One To Try: Redken Smooth Lock Butter Silk

Redken Smooth Lock Butter Silk 250ml* - £16.99

I'm a big fan of products developed to improve the condition of dry, damaged or frizzy hair mostly because my hair is the bane of my life but also I can't resist that salon fresh feeling thats achievable in my own home. I'm constantly trying out new products, in fact I think my hair care stash would rival some hairdressers, it really is starting to get outta control! I'm not complaining though, I actually find it comforting to know I've a whole host of hair products stored in my beauty drawer when I'm having a bad hair day or feel like using a hair mask during a pamper session.

Redken Smooth Lock Butter Silk is a hair treatment that provides intense nourishment to leave hair feeling smoother, more manageble with a luscious looking shine. Redken have enriched the hair butter with their Heat Fuse Complex and Interlock Protein Network to nourish and keep frizz at bay.

The mask is applied to towel dried hair & left on for up to 15 minutes before it needs to be rinsed away thoroughly. It's a thick conditioner-like consistency that my hair seems to soak up, it doesn't feel weighed down &Whilst washing the product away my hair feels silky, a sign to me that it has worked & given my hair a much needed boost of moisture. It's quite pricey but it leaves my hair in a much better state in comparison to using a standard conditioner & it has a 'professional salon scent' that adds a little luxury into my hair washing routine!

Let me know what hair products you use!

January Favourites

I'm so excited (& probably a little too eager!) to type up this post today, not only because it's the first monthly favourites of 2015 but because it contains products I've lusted after for so long that I finally got my hands on over Christmas which well & truly live up to the hype around them!
Lets start from the top of the photo, the first item being the Rose Gold Zoeva 102 Silk Finish brush (which is slightly out of focus, apologies but I'm still getting to grips with my shiny new camera!) I am completely obsessed with using this brush to apply my foundation. It's quite dense with a rounded head which makes blending & buffing a complete dream. It makes my foundation appear seamless & I just love it so much! In fact the whole set is amazing, so keep an eye out for a full review soon!
Next is a skincare item from Soap & Glory, my favourite drugstore brand when it comes to both skincare & bath products. I picked the Fab Pore 2-in-1 Facial Pore Purifying Mask & Peel on a complete whim when I was feeling really fed up of my skin & in desperate need of a 'quick fix'. I haven't read any reviews on this but I think it deserves so much more recognition! Soap & Glory state that this is going to be your new favourite mask & it's true, it's definitely mine! I've been using it once a week to shrink my pores & improve the general appearance of my skin. It gives my skin a new lease of life, it feels a million times better, my pores are virtually invisible & my blemishes seem a lot calmer. Its £10 a pot but theres always offers on S&G stuff so I got it for about £8, it's well worth it!
NARS Sheer Glow Foundation is a base product that I have wanted to try out for SO long, but I was always put off by the price tag so when my Mum offered to get it me for Christmas I jumped at the chance. Honestly, I wish I hadn't waited so long to try it! I've had so many compliments when I've been wearing it & it's completely rekindled my love with applying makeup. You know when you have those 'meh' days because your skin is looking blah & you can just tell your makeup isn't going to sit right? Well this completely transforms my skin, it's a miracle in a bottle & is definitely up there with my other fave foundation, YSL Le Teint Touche Eclat. I'm always so nervous to splurge on high end makeup incase I don't like it, but sometimes it's worth the risk!
Another product from Soap & Glory has made it's way into my January Favourites, this time something from their makeup range. I feel like I've been waiting forever to buy the Archery 2-in-1 Brow Filling Pencil & Brush, literally every time I went into my local Boots it was always out of stock... I even sneakily opened the drawer underneath the stand to see if any were hidden but to my disappointment there wasn't! Last week I ended up going over to Liverpool where I got drawn in to the huge Boots & to my delight the S&G stand was fully stocked so I grabbed the archery pencil in the shade 'Hot Chocolate' & trotted of to pay for it without even thinking twice! Even though this has only been in my life for a short while it's changed my eyebrow routine for the better, quick short strokes, a brush through with the spoolie & my brows are filled within a minute or so. The colour is a perfect match too & my brows don't seem to disintegrate throughout the day either!
My most-loved fragrance of the month is Daisy Dream by Marc Jacobs. I have a couple of MJ perfumes plus some mini handbag versions so when Daisy Dream was released I knew it would eventually end up in my collection. Everything from the bottle adorned with daisies & the light, fruity, floral scent is lovely & right up my street. I've been spritzing it ever since Doms parents kindly surprised it with me (love that my "in laws" know me so well!) & I can't get enough of it! It's such a Spring/Summer kinda scent, as are most of the MJ fragrances, so it's nice to spray this when the days are dull & be reminded of the warm Summer days that are ahead of us, hopefully!
I always have what seems like a 101 lip balms on the go at once & usually just grab whatever is closest to me but this month I've been choosing the Burts Bees Peppermint Beeswax Lip Balm more often than not. I find Burts Bees to be one of the most nourishing lip balms, they're filled with natural ingredients such as Coconut & Sunflower oils plus lots of vitamins & essential fatty acids to condition, soften & hydrate. The Peppermint flavour is really refreshing & tingles a little bit, which to me is a sign it's working!
Tigi Catwalk Oatmeal & Honey Nourishing Shampoo* & Conditioner* have been my hair washing products of choice this month. If you've read my blog for a while you'll probably be fed up of me mentioning how dry my hair can be but seriously it's getting to the stage that it now forms dreadlocks if I don't brush it straight away after washing!! I'm forever soaking it in Moroccan Oil & using various other products that lock in moisture, whilst I still love all of the previous products I've used it's good to switch up your haircare routine every now & again! It's a nice change to have a shampoo/conditioner that doesn't have a fruity scent, the Honey & Oatmeal provide a comforting kinda smell, think breakfast & porridge & you're on the right tracks and the best thing is that the scent lingers around, I love it when you get wafts of a scent all day long! It definitely helps to tame my hair as it always feels silky soft during & after I've washed it, I hate shampoos that make your hair have that weird squeaky clean feeling whilst you're rinsing out the product. The gift pack is currently only £14.50 which is pretty good considering individually they would normally retail between £24-£30.
What are your January Favourites?

alchemy grapefruit hair remedy oil

I'm a huge fan of hair oils, I've tried various different ones & now I can't wash my hair without applying an oil to the ends afterwards! Just incase you don't know, I have thick, frizzy hair which is quite honestly the bane of my life. I am forever asking the hairdresser to thin it out instead of chopping layers in here, there & everywhere but she says I'd miss having the volume. I can assure I wouldn't! Every time I see a photo of myself my hair looks so thick around my face, it's too heavy around the top & the ends look too blunt... why do hairdressers never listen!? Anyway, I've gone off an a whole different topic, I'll save the rest for a future post maybe!

Without using a hair oil my hair would be frizz central, so I reach for whatever bottle (I have a few!) I have nearest to me which has recently been the Alchemy Oils Grapefruit Hair Remedy*. It's stored in a vintage style small glass bottle with a wooden stopper top, once the top is removed the fruity scent of Grapefruit hits you. It's a very fresh, fruity, citrusy sweet scent which I love! Removing the oil from the bottle is a bit of a tricky task as you risk it spilling everywhere so I've been dipping my finger tips in whilst it's still quite full. A tiny amount goes quite far, I rub it throughout the ends & smooth over my layers that tend to flick out & leave my hair to absorb it for a few minutes before straightening. One of my main concerns when it comes to using hair oil is the worry it might make my hair look greasy but I can confirm theres no grease in sight! I'm always careful to apply oils though but you really do only need a small amount with this one. The product contains Coconut, Avocado, Almond & Castor oils & as soon as I saw it had Coconut oil I knew it would be good! My hair feels much healthier after I use it, it's very dry & needs a lot of nourishment which this oil provides & it also adds shine so my hair looks healthier too!

moroccanoil minis

Moroccanoil Repair and Style Travel Pack* - £31.85
Mini versions of my favourite products are one of my weaknesses, I love how cute they are & the fact that I can pop them in my bag without having to worry about space issues takes the stress out of travelling slightly!

Moroccanoil Oil is an essential in my haircare routine, it's really helped get my hair back into a reasonably healthy condition & I couldn't live without it now. Having a miniature bottle of it is ideal for someone like me who currently lives between 3 different houses, I always have a bag packed & it's nice to know I can carry around my favourite haircare items. I've used the Moroccanoil Shampoo & Conditioner in the past, they're such a treat but I can always see a difference when I use them to wash my hair. The Moisture Repair range is formulated to infuse your hair with argan oil, fatty acids, keratin & other nutrients to restore your hairs health & leave it soft, shiny & full of volume. The mini can of hairspray not only holds hair in place it also enhances the shine, so my hair looks healthy! The formula is really light weight so it doesn't create that awful sticky & crispy feeling but still holds the style in place. I'm forever chucking this little can of hairspray into my handbag whenever I'm off out for the day, it's one of the handbag essentials!

This little travel set is the perfect bundle of Moroccanoil products to pack in your suitcase if you're jetting off anywhere, or if you're just like me & travel around a lot! It's also ideal if you haven't tried anything from Moroccanoil before & want to test out a couple of things before splurging on the full sized product!

tresemme 7 day keratin smooth haircare

Frizzy hair is the bane of my life, I have thick, wavy hair that takes a lot of effort to straighten & style. I have serious envy towards those of you that naturally have sleek smooth hair or can achieve straightened hair with minimum work! When I heard that Tresemme had launched a new product range that was designed to provide long lasting, salon styled straight hair I knew I'd have to test them out!
The products are infused with Keratin & have built in thermal technology which works with the heat from straighteners to deliver frizz resistance, ensuring my hair stays straight for longer, even after washing it. The Shampoo is low in sulphates meaning my hair feels cleaner than ever as it removes impurities as well as gently cleansing it. The conditioner helps to lock in the Thermal technology that is activated once the heat is applied. The combination of the Shampoo & Conditioner together leaves my hair feeling silky soft & also much more manageable when I come to brush it afterwards. Once I've towel dried my hair I apply a couple of pumps of the 7 day smooth Treatment, mostly focusing on the lengths but I add a small amount to the upper sections of my hair as well. I then either blow dry my hair or leave it to dry naturally, depending on how much time I've got & then it's time for the straighteners to activate the Thermal Technology & lock my hair into super sleek mode! You're supposed to straighten your hair in small sections & go over that section 3-4 times but even straightening my hair as I normally would I can still see a difference with how straight my hair becomes so quickly. Usually my hair takes ages to become poker straight because it frizzes up with the heat & becomes more voluminous than I want it to be! I can also go to sleep with straight hair & wake up the next day with straight hair which is actually quite a surreal experience for me! I'm so used to waking up to my hair being wavy & kinking in all the wrong places so as you can imagine it's a great feeling to see my hair in a presentable condition in the early hours of the morning!

I use this trio of products once a week as I like to vary my hairstyles so when I know that I want to keep my hair straight for a few days I use this haircare routine. I find it such a chore to wash, dry & straighten my hair because of how thick & frizzy my hair can be but after trialling the 7 Day Keratin  Smooth System I can report back to say it's made taming my hair much more enjoyable. I achieve smoother, straighter hair in a much shorter amount of time & I've also been able to reduce the amount of heat I use each week as I don't need to re-straighten my hair as often!

Have you tried any of the products from Tresemme's 7 day smooth range?

moroccanoil light oil treatment

UK lifestyle blogger UK beauty blogger review swatch moroccanoil moroccan oil
Moroccanoil Light Oil Treatment 100ml* - £31.85
Unless you've been living under a rock for the past few years you'll know that Moroccanoil is one of the most talked about products in the haircare industry. I first came across it when a hairdresser applied it after washing my hair, which intrigued me as I'd never heard of an oil being used on hair before. Keen to know more I questioned my hairdresser who briefly explained that she used it on my hair to help tame the frizziness & to leave it looking sleeker & feeling smoother.

Moroccanoil light is exactly the same product as the original Moroccanoil however it is just formulated to be more suitable for fine or fair coloured hair. My hair is neither of these, it's dark & very thick but the reason I prefer the light version is because my hair isn't weighed down by product as much. When straightening my hair after using Moroccanoil it would often feel heavy & make it harder for the heat to actually work through the residue left behind. I apply a 10p sized amount of oil into the palm of my hands & then spread it evenly through towel dried hair, mostly focusing on the very ends. It helps relieve the dead tips &  repairs split ends by almost bonding them together again, it really makes a huge difference to the appearance of brittle hair strands.  Even though my hair becomes silky soft & shiny it doesn't become difficult to work with & once I've styled it my hair appears to be in amazing condition. You'd expect an oil to leave your hair feeling greasy & even perhaps sticky after using it, yet Moroccanoil quickly absorbs into each hair strand & it's not apparent that an oil has been used at all.  It provides  a whole host of benefits including moisturising & conditioning, improves the elasticity & acts as a barrier towards harmful environmental stresses such as UV damage. I've also discovered this can be used on dry hair as a hair mask when your hair is in need of some extra TLC which I'll have to try out soon! The only downside to Moroccanoil Light is the price tag, at over £30 a bottle it's seems crazy for an oil but the first bottle I had lasted me well over a year which is how I justify it! It's definitely a luxury hair care item, but one that I couldn't live without, especially because it's so noticeable just how much my hair benefits from using it.

Have you tried Moroccanoil before?

bleach london DIY dip dye kit

Today I had a little disaster with my hair. I've been meaning to ombre my hair again for a while now as I really liked the style, especially over Summer & I finally got round to doing it. Unfortunately this kit & my hair didn't get on & it's resulted in my hair being really orange toned & very brassy. I was looking forward to having my ombre hair back & I'm really gutted I've gotta go spend money on toners etc to try sort it out now because I've never had a problem with any other dip dye kits before!

The bleach kit contains:
1 x Developing Lotion
2 x Bleaching Powder
1 x Blending Lotion
1 x Tint Brush
1 x Mixing Bowl
1 x Pair of Gloves
1 x Reincarnation Mask

I decided to purchase this kit because I really liked the idea of being providing with a blending lotion to prevent any harsh lines occurring, as I have been a victim to this when previously dip dying my hair! I found it a little messy to apply but I do think it helped as I don't have the obvious straight line where the bleach starts. I ended up having to spread the lotion the entire way down my hair, even though it said to just put it 2-3cms from the start but there was just so much it kinda got everywhere anyway. Perhaps this is what stopped my hair from taking to the bleach so well but I'm not sure because where the bleach started it's actually quite a nice colour then the middle section turns into a ginger brassy tone & the ends are lighter. I ended up having to bleach my hair twice with this kit as there was loads of dye left after the first go & I was hoping it would lighten it more but it didn't make a difference. Luckily though the reincarnation mask that is included is seriously good stuff, my hair doesn't feel like it's been bleached at all! It's so so soft & easy to brush through, it's not dry at all so at least I can continue to use that over the next few weeks to try keep my hair in a decent condition. Overall, yes my hair is brassy but I'm hoping an ash toner will sort that out, at least my hair isn't too damaged & has been lightened!
Have you used this dip dye kit? Please recommend me some toners to try out & also your favourite purple shampoos!

current haircare routine

From about the age 14 I religiously straightened my hair every single day & was forever dying it different colours which really took it's toll, resulting in very damaged hair. About a year ago I decided to try & fix my hair, it was so unmanageable, a huge frizzy mess & it needed bringing back to life! I've become more dedicated to using products that benefit my hair & I can honestly say I've seen huge improvements since doing so.

The Miracle Moist range from Aussie have been a firm favourite of mine for a good while now, the bubblegum scent is addictive & makes washing my hair seem like less of a chore, I really hate washing my hair!! I've tried loads of different shampoo & conditioners from salons & supermarkets but I've never really liked anything as much as Aussie. You can almost always pick up 3 items for £10 so I opt for the 3 Minute Miracle to create my perfect Aussie trio! I use the 3 Minute Miracle every other hair wash for a more intense conditioning treatment to help repair my hair from the heat damage I've subjected it to! I would like sample some Ojon haircare though but the price makes my bank account cry so that will have to wait! After towel drying my hair I will spritz a good amount of the Dove Nourishing Oil Leave In Conditioner to the ends & brush it through. I also use it on the days I don't wash my hair to help detangle & get a brush through without getting it stuck midway! Every few weeks I like to use a hair mask or more intense treatment, currently I'm using the Philip Kingsley Elasticizer. It's formulated to help reduce breakages & I've definitely noticed I have less split ends since using this. It also helps to add bounce back to your hair - something my hair was lacking & in dire need of, it now feels much healthier & isn't as 'lifeless'. Everyone & their mothers seemed to be raving about Moroccan Oil but my student budget couldn't justify the £20+ price tag. After some research I discovered that the magic ingredient in Moroccan Oil was in fact Argan Oil & Moroccan Oil was actually just the name of the brand, so I hunted down a bottle of this 'Mircacle Oil' which I happened to find at Aldi for only £4! It's basically a dupe for Moroccan Oil anyway, the bottle is practically identical, the product smells the same & it does exactly the same job. I either use this or the Vo5 Nourish My Shine Miracle Concentrate, which I recently mentioned in my January Favourites post. They both help to keep my hair sleek & frizz free after I've washed it & make my hair much easier to style.

These are my favourite haircare products at the moment, although I'm always on the look out for new things to try so if you have any recommendations please let me know!

dove nourishing oil care leave-in conditioning spray

UK lifestyle blogger UK beauty blogger review swatch dove nourishing oil care leave-in conditioning spray

Dove isn't a brand I'd opt for when it comes to haircare, I guess because they're more famous for their soap & shower gels they just never crossed my mind! However watching one of Emma's videos I saw her use this spray & I was intrigued to see what it was like.

The spray consists of a dual formula which contains an oil & a serum. The oil layer is a blend of almond, coconut & argan oils and the Fibre Actives serum helps to repair damage & restore moisture. As there are two separate layers to this product the bottle needs shaking to mix them together. Once it's all shaken up you can apply it onto dry or wet hair & then you're good to leave it to do its job - no rinsing is required afterwards. I tend to use it when I have towel dried my hair but I also spritz a little all over in between washes. I mainly focus on the ends as they need the most help when it comes to nourishment & defrizzing, I then brush it through to spread the product evenly & make my hair silky soft. I used it twice a day whilst I was on holiday in Turkey to stop my hair getting too dried out in the sun & from the chlorine. The formula is lightweight so it doesn't feel like there is a tonne of product in your hair, even if you do get spritz-happy & go over board (guilty of this because I can't get enough of the smell!!). In general it works well at reducing frizziness & keeps my hair feeling nice & smooth. As much as I love what the product does to my hair, my favourite thing about it is the smell. If you like Love Heart sweets then I can guarantee you'll be a fan - it smells identical!

I'm not sure this will help fix my hair in the long run, but for instant nourishment & moisture it's pretty amazing! It's a super cheap alternative to Moroccan Oil in my opinion at under £4 securing itself a firm place in my haircare routine for a good while yet!

vo5 hot oil give me moisture in-shower treatment

I loooooove this stuff SO so so much, my hair is incredibly thankful for this gem of a product. At first it feels horrible when you add to your hair, well for me anyway. The magic happens once you begin shampooing, your hair becomes the silkiest thing ever, literally softer than silk it's so nice. My hair is pretty dry & damaged from years of dying & straightening & ever since Lily raved about it in her monthly fave videos I've been hooked on this product. I use it every couple of weeks & every time I use it I'm still amazed at the results. It's like a temporary fix for my split ends & frizzy hair  because the split ends almost all disappear & my hair is ALOT easier to deal with! My hair winds me up so much, it doesn't help that the hairdresser has wrecked it by cutting it all the same length rather than thin it out & chop in my usual layers but still this oil has saved my life... haha okay maybe I'm being dramatic but when I'm fed up of my hair I know I can use this & it'll help me feel better about it! I can't find this bottle online Boots/Superdrug but I've seen it in store & I've also noticed they do 4x mini versions of it as well. I get about 5 uses out of the bottle, sometimes more if I use it sparingly. I'm really desperate to get my hair into a healthy more manageable condition, I often try heat bans where I don't use a hair dryer or straighteners for a few weeks but I think I'm going to invest in some more hair masks & a proper hair cut soon...

john frieda full repair range

John Frieda Full Repair Range* - Available at Boots

My hair is pretty damaged from years of straightening, dying it various colours & the recent addition of ombre to the ends. The full repair range contains Inca Inchi which is an oil containing Omega 3, it helps to restore overworked hair & adds volume, so I thought I'd give these a go & see what results I could achieve.

The Full Body Shampoo is a pretty pearlescent formula that smells so so lovely, when I use this combined with the Full Body Conditioner my hair is noticeably more manageable once washed. My hair has been quite difficult recently because of the bleached ends & often feels really dry whilst I'm shampooing it, but when I use this it feels smooth & nourished. After I've dried my hair I can tell my ends look a lot healthier & there is plenty of bounce to it. Usually my hair is a frizzy mess when I blow dry it but using these products has helped me to achieve a salon style finish. If I remember I spritz the heat activated Styling Spray through my hair to ensure it is protected from heat damage, this product has the same smell as the shampoo & conditioners, which I can't quite describe, but take my word for it, it's nice! The product I've not got much use of so far is the Deep Infusion Serum, only because I've been using the Miracle Oil I mentioned in my October Favourites. However, when I do use it I feel as though my ends appear less brittle, which is amazing as I do have problems with my ends breaking quite easily. Overall I really like these products, I'll definitely be repurchasing the shampoo & conditioners in the future as my hair has been in much better condition since using these & the smell doesn't disappear once the products are washed away!

Have you tried anything from the full repair range?

john frieda tutorials | topknot step-by-step

Hey everyone, I was recently contacted & asked if I would like to share some hair tutorials on my blog. I've included the topknot tutorial, as it's a super quick video & I know it's a popular style. I love having my hair in a topknot, it's simple to create, so perfect if you're short of time! My favourite aspect of this tutorial is that the model is shown actually creating the look herself, with guidance from Jake Davis, a celebrity hair stylist. At first I thought if a stylist was creating the look then I'd never be able to achieve it! John Frieda produced these videos to highlight their Full Repair Range, which consists of products to protect your hair from heat damage. I used to straighten my hair religiously every single day when I was younger, resulting in my hair being a complete mess, so I'm always on the look out for products that can bring my hair back to life! Another of the Full Repair Range tutorials that caught my eye was the Full Body Blow Dry, showing you how to create a salon perfect style!

The John Frieda YouTube channel has loads of style tutorials, there will definitely be one suitable for you... I'm going to try out hair bow tutorial next!

Have a look & let me know what you think?

review | ogario restore & shine hair masque

Ogario are currently running an Olympic offer, enabling you to claim a free sample of this hair masque, click here to get yours, the offer ends on August 12th.

The first thing that impressed me about this product was the smell, the lavender and sage go together creating a fresh scent that I can't get enough of! The best thing is, after washing the masque out of your hair the fragrance still remains, even for a few days. I was really looking forward to using this as my hair can be quite difficult to manage as it is so thick and in desperate need of a cut... As guided I shampooed and conditioned my hair, then squeezed the excess water with a towel, this allows the product to work to its full potential. Application of the masque was easy, it smoothed over my hair with no problems. I chose to leave the masque on my hair for around 20 minutes, as my hair is quite dry and in need of some TLC! When I washed it off I was amazed with how soft my hair felt, I left my hair to dry naturally as I'm trying not to use any heat on it at the mo, and instead of the usual frizzball curls my hair had gentle, loose beach style waves. I have used this twice now and have been pleasantly surprised with the results, I never like to believe in something until I've tried it myself but this stuff is honestly incredible! My hair is much easier to handle after using this, appears much healthier with a lovely shine, it has life again!

Ogario retail the masque at £26.50, which seems pricey however this is for 200ml, I was sent a 15ml pot, which I have only used half of after using it twice, so I do think you would get your moneys worth. I think I will be adding this miracle product to my Christmas list!

Have you ever tried any hair masques? How do you keep your hair in good condition?
