Autumn is here, I'm definitely more of an Autumn/Winter kinda girl than Spring/Summer. From the colourful crunchy leaves that decorate the pavements to cold & crisp fresh air, the build up to the festive season & fireworks for Bonfire, digging out the winter woolies (bobble hats & chunky knit jumpers) to snuggling up indoors with candles lit, the fire burning & a mug of hot chocolate, everything about Autumn makes me feel happy! The only thing I'm not a fan of is the struggle to take blog photos, lighting may need to be invested in soon!
I've picked out my favourite Autumnal shades, starting with OPI's Malaga Wine*, to me this just screams Autumn. A deep red, it reminds me of the little berries you see growing on the hedges throughout Autumn. It's also the perfect festive colour too, it will definitely be my Christmas day polish! In fact, I've been wearing this non stop ever since nailpolish.co.uk kindly sent it over to me (also that website is a nail polish addicts heaven, every kinda nail polish you can imagine... well almost!) I actually discovered this polish when I had my nails done at the South Beach Spa Day Blogger event & I'm so so glad I remembered the name of it!
The next two shades are from Barry M & are also both from the Gelly Hi Shine range. Barry M are probably my favourite drugstore/high street nail polish, they're so affordable, they have virtually every shade you could ever wish for & there are also quite a few formula variations, my favourite being the Gelly Hi Shine. Plum* is the dark purple colour which makes me think of the dark nights, so I'll probably be reaching for this if I have an evening event to attend! Does anyone else do that... try & match up their nail polish to the event they're attending? Cocoa* is a bit of a weird one, a brown nail polish. I never thought I would be saying I liked a brown nail polish but there is just something about this shade that when it's applied it looks quite classic.
Ciate's Fade to Greige is a violet toned grey polish, it's unique & something a bit different from your standard purple shade. It could be described as a dull purple due to it's grey tones, but we all know Autumn skies can be quite dull & grey days are a regular occurrence throughout Winter. The final shade is another one from Ciate, Vintage which is described as a rich, deep & majestic grey, however I can see some green in this one! I'd say it's more of a green grey, again not the nicest sounding polish but I assure you it looks really great on!
What are your favourite Autumnal nail polishes?
